Mario was really Le Mieux (the best).
Wayne had Kuri on the wing. Messier on the next line and two evil enforces to keep him safe and keep the penalty box full. Wayne is nothing less than great but the numbers are a reflection of the team as much as the individual.

pretty ignorant comment, as good as messier and kurri where wayne also MADE them better. it goes both ways you know.
further, obviously a good team will help you but gretzky also MADE the whole team better.

they must have left out the part where mario says "what rivalry? i'm ridiculously better than wayne, i just play on a lousy team and get abused every night while he has enforcers protecting him."
