I FORGOT the pilot name of the hardener comment, it was dragoon or something rather. Greenhalo can be heard "FROSTIES PRIMARY" hes one of like 3 fc. This fight is so old I forget most of the names. IO as we know it died in a fire years ago. Some things are better left buried, perhaps.

Those were the days. We didn't field the best pvpers in the field of battle, but we weren't the worst. :p

thats right, wow you remember. I think vamps cousin or bro was bloodluzt. I remember all the terrible fights we had with those swedish or polish corp... Spontaneous Defenestration.. god hated them they were so good always came in made everyone run and some dumbass always got snagged in a belt. That and the SLIM guy who was like a pro pilgrim pilot... best highlight in that alliance was blowing up red elites carrier dc'ed on the dital gate in kbp.

no, this is a misconception. theres no perma death in eve. Your avatar or podpilot in eve lore is not actully physically represented in the game other than from your potrait. Your character can fly many different ships, but only one at a time. Ships can be destroyed, your pod can be killed, but your character can never be killed.

How often eve players loose their ships depends on their skill level, their opponents skill level, the organization of their corp/fleet, and many other factors in a pvp fight. So, i cant really give an answer to that question.. it depends on the player really. I will tell you that there is a number of people in eve who will kill others or prey upon weaker corps/alliances than them, you either adapt and learn to counter them, run away and avoid them, or get owned =)

eve has a number of roleplayers and non pvpers ... the game does have a nicely crafted backstory, but I do not roleplay or do any sort of stories. Im pretty much a pvp person, so your asking the wrong guy. To me, every fight is a story, and every war and outcome, is a story. Killboards could technically be called a stat-ed story book , of how my corporation waged a war of total annhiliation against the enemy corp. Check out non propero dot com best story.. bear tears

When your ship is popped, you have to buy a new one from market, assuming you dont have any others. The economy is player drivin and similar to IRL, supply and demand and basic economic principles apply here

Ships cost ingame money, called ISK which you can get in many many different ways. Ships can be insured to help lessen the in game financial blow of losing one. Balancing your isk gain vs loss is key to a sucessful eve player.

For people who have never played a sandbox, its hard to grasp. Money is always in flux in eve, make some isk, buy a ship, you lose it, your at square one. Theres many many ships with different prices dictated by the ingame free market. Ships in eve is not like gear in other MMORPG games, they are destructible but very replaceable

I only have 200m isk in my wallet but i have probably 3-4 bil worth of assets if i count my caps and other ships.

This video is what happens when lots of noobs(note the arby fit) make a 00 pet alliance and try to pvp. Suprisngly enough, we won, as the enemy got scurred and bugged out, fearing blobbage. Ah, memories of being noob

Play the game longer than a month and maybe try faction warfare if you do not want to but a hell of a lot of effort into building up a charl. Just take in a t1 frig or t1 cruiser. People do it all the time solo and have no issues and have a lot of fun.
