Not making any excuses for anybody but I was there and this was official day and those of us that actually go to convocation know that it starts at 8am but EVERBODY has to be there at 6am to get seated.. It was EARLY and we didnt out until late the night before. I agree though, they shouldve at least looked like they were interested.. lol

WoW...I am not COGIC but I was raised in the holiness church where we baptized in the name of Jesus. Currently I am Non-Denominational. These people (COGIC) are my brothers and sister and I love them just as much as I love my Apostolic brothers and sisters. The Bible says (Jesus says)..."with love and kindness have I drawn them"...The Bible also say that "and I if I (Jesus) be lifted up from the earth will draw all men unto me"...There is no way we should let how we baptize seperate us.

@commanderphillip I totally agree. There will be no differences on that great day of judgement. And really Mark 9:38-39 should explain that we are not the judges of who is right. As long as we are under Christ in his authority, power, and teachings.

@ pinkskyies- The difference between cogic and Apostolic is that Apostolic baptize in Jesus name "like the bible says"... cogic does a baptism that no one has "EVER" done in the bible(Father,son,Holy Ghost; when they say we'er stricter its because we choose to live holy and they love sin; Apostolic(holiness) stay away from sin; thats y they say we stricter,because they dnt want to live right...ACTS2:38 IS THE PLAN OF SALVATION, ppl need the Holy Ghost according to the bible

The choir is huge and all in white, and why do some people have on those catholic robes for? How come in one section people are wearing blue and white catholic robes for? I don't understand.

@pinkskyies: this is their annual convocation(convention) in memphis. the difference between cogic & apostolic is they follow different guidelines. and i think the apostolics are more strict. the people in the redish robes are the general board of bishops. and the ones in the blue & white are the jurisdictional bishops.

This is a recording from the Centennial Convocation that is generally held in Memphis, TN every year where peope from all across the country and world come together to fellowship, worship, study, go to classes, workshops etc. The difference between COGIC and Apostolic is that Apostolic baptize in Jesus name and COGIC baptizes in the name of the Father, Son,& the Holy Ghost, That's the only division. Those in the purple robes are jurisdictional bishops & those in burgundy are the general board.
