Is that an Eric Sardinas Preachin' Pipe your using? I just has a cat custom make me a glass slide with the same dimensions, will be getting it in a couple of days woo hoo!
I think that one is just a dunlop brass with some velcro on it that I use to "scratch" like a DJ. I have sime thicker ones that I use on resophonic guitar for more sustain. I use to have a chrome plated dunlop with velcro and cork glued to it. The other materials are influenced by this cat named Tronzo who uses lots of things for slides and general timbral weirdness. He is a bad dude and a real original player that I recommend that you check out if you are into sliders.
I bought a slide about a month ago to try and teach myself how to play slide solos like this. Man is it way different. I can't even come close to my solos without the slide. I don't have the patience to teach it to myself. This is some nice playing though.
