I'm not an new york oiler fan. the oilers were great when they stayed together just the way they did in 1994. after the n.y. oilers won the cup in 1994 they seperated and the messiah led the rangers to the golf course 5 times and 3 times as a canuck!

i don't know what you're replying too. if it's the fact that the 1994 rangers needed to get 8 members from the 5 time cup winning oilers and 6 players from keenans 1992 chicago cup final team then thanks. -- it is a fact and all ranger fans know it and hate my gutts for bringing it up. the devils win the cup through their system. look at every devils cup team and todays devils and be amazed at how many players have come through or system. -- 1994 LETS GO OILERS!

rangers bought the cup....that was the beginning of the end...before the salary cap.......anyone who says that the Rangers deserved it should get thier head examined...Vancouver got to the final through hard work...draft picks...and not trading for ex-oilers...Rangers couldnt win without them..dont believe me?..then watch the clip where even Neil Smith says.."and Glen Sather...Glen Sather.."...he knows that he won the cup cuz of ex-oilers

WOW the NHL was so wide-open back then, look at that rush up the ice by Vancouver... a thing of beauty. The last finals where both teams (NYR and VAN) played an offence-oriented style and therefore got scoring chances and goals left, right and centre. For example, compare this to game 5 of the 2000 Finals b/w NJD and DAL. Great goaltending, but little else, 1-0 after 5 periods like WTF is that. Anyway end rant haha Go Canucks Go
