My dad used to play this song back in the 90's when I was a kid. This was music my parents used to dance to. I play this song now that I'm in my 20's and I wish I can hear this in the clubs. (I never will though) What a tragic time I live in. lol
@coolwafferman Hi. My friend runs a soul night in Kilmarnock, Scotland and this song is played regularly. I would imagine its probably a bit far away for you to attend.
@djbriso A bit far? It just across the ocean. (lol) I'm in the United States. I live close to NYC, and clubs I been to don't play that, and I don't have any idea what clubs actually do play this. Some of the lounges play early 80's disco, but not this. Nothing before 1979, and nothing after 1983. Then it's modern club music.
Sounds like Kilmarnock is quite a happening place to party.
Lovely, lovely Teddy-what a naturally brilliant singer-sang from the heart and soul. It brightens my day listening to your CD whilst driving to work. You left us some great music.
This is one of my all time favorites SONGS by Mr Pendergrass it was really popularized by Chicago DJ's by the HOUSE party movement I loved and love this HIT!!!
For those who grew up in Grant Projects on 125th St, & Amsterdam Ave in New York city, we wishing we were on Soul Train doing "our thang" I loved the clothes I went to store on 125 & Lenox and came back in a combo getup like "SUPERFLY & THE MACK" My Momma made me take it back (but she let me keep "THE MACK's HAT") You will never hear good music like this, this music is love, feelings coming from the heart, Music from this era was all true, Ain't no half stepping here.SIMPLY OUTSTANDING RIGHT ON!

This episode aired on April 23, 1977. The guests were the late Teddy Pendergrass and Double Exposure (the band, not the TV show).
