This is a good car, altough they laught about it.

I have signum ellegance 2.2 dti, full equipment, and lot of bmw and "better" cars saw my back a lot of times. It is very safe car, with lot of airbags

Yes but the Astra was an class lower, and alot smaller than the Signum. The Signum was (and this is what Opel/Vauxhall said back then) for people, who wanted much space in the back, but no Sedan shape and no Estate because it was too big. ...executive hatchback... ;)
