To me The OC was really one of kind. It was and still is the best show in its genre, even gossip girl isn't as good as the OC! the characters are just so well writen! I miss it so much, it is so sad that killed of Marissa I think the show could have gone for another season or two if they had given marissa an intresting story line instead of killing her of!
That end killed me...I never cried so much in my life for a movie or a TV series before. It was very sad to have finished this series so wonderful! :(

omg, I cry watching this. The O.C. is and always will be the BEST show ever. When I watched for the first time I was going through so much and it used to help me to forget about my problems, it was like therapy and it's so sad that it ended :( still i can't get enough of it. I love this ending, it's so happy for everyone. Though, the part where Seth was putting up the newspaper clipping of Summer at the rally, and the lyrics of the song say "and this is why you cling to every little thing", it was so bittersweet. You could tell how much he missed her while being proud of her. And then they got married. :) The last part with Ryan and the kid made me cry my eyes out.
best show ever created but they couldn't make more seasons they were out of ideas and if they did it would end up like degrassi after 6 seasons they screwed up big time, today's tv shows are not the same even one tree hill was good until season 6 so i am very grateful to still have 4 amazing seasons to watch :)

@rosesNpancakes No, he is 16 in S1. But The O.C. has many technical flaws... the one that really bothered me was that they had 2 junior years. Somehow, they made it seem like S1 was their sophomore year, but everything that happened in that season indicated that they were juniors. Plus, they were way too old to be sophomores - I'm entering sophomore year now (&that's when the show started - the summer before their sophomore year) & I sure as hell cant see all of that happening to anyone my age!
I love the last part! i think that even though it was the end it was a great ending! the way the little boy was like rayn in the begining! *sigh* gives me butterflies!
Words cannot describe how much I miss the OC. It is literally the best show to ever air on television, and it always will be. And it's completely underrated too. So many people don't watch it or have never heard of it, and they're PSYCHO. Everytime I watch this scene, or season 1 I start crying cause it's sooo sad how bad TV is now(although I love Gossip Girl). RIP OC
@FallingAngelxx well the oc ended in 2007 and the berklee banner said class 02 2012 so it's about 5 or 6 years later. So mid 20's ishh. lol i think :)

@FallingAngelxx they're all about 19 in the first few scenes and at the end it goes forward 6 years so they're in their mid 20's when seth and summer are getting married and ryan is working etc.
Certainly one of the best shows I've ever watched. And believe me, me saying this means a lot because I'm usually not someone who goes down the emotinal road. I'll watch this series again, that's for sure even though the middle part of season 4 wasn't as good as the rest of the show.

I beleive that this was the perfect ending and timing. If it was a longer season it would of become boring. It wasn't the same after Marissa died. I liked the grieving moments in the first part of the season, the writers respected her character. Ryan and Taylor wasn't a perfect match, they weren't quite right for each other, but I loved the way the writers dealt with "Marissa" situation. Taylor was so very cute and Seth and Summer was the sweetest couple. It was a good show, I'll miss it.

@rosesNpancakes No, he is 16 in S1. But The O.C. has many technical flaws... the one that really bothered me was that they had 2 junior years. Somehow, they made it seem like S1 was their sophomore year, but everything that happened in that season indicated that they were juniors. Plus, they were way too old to be sophomores - I'm entering sophomore year now (&that's when the show started - the summer before their sophomore year) & I sure as hell cant see all of that happening to anyone my age!

Words cannot describe how much I miss the OC. It is literally the best show to ever air on television, and it always will be. And it's completely underrated too. So many people don't watch it or have never heard of it, and they're PSYCHO. Everytime I watch this scene, or season 1 I start crying cause it's sooo sad how bad TV is now(although I love Gossip Girl). RIP OC

Certainly one of the best shows I've ever watched. And believe me, me saying this means a lot because I'm usually not someone who goes down the emotinal road. I'll watch this series again, that's for sure even though the middle part of season 4 wasn't as good as the rest of the show.

i was really sad when this end!was the best show i have ever seen they say that marissas death killed the show but it wasnt that ryan and seth are nt teenagers anymore oc is supposed to show us teenage life it wouldnt be good if they show us after 4th season. if they hadnt killed marissa we would only have a better 4th season but nt more seasons.i got all the seasons and am watching them many times the year and am nt getting bored.thumbss up if u loved the oc!!

I beleive that this was the perfect ending and timing. If it was a longer season it would of become boring. It wasn't the same after Marissa died. I liked the grieving moments in the first part of the season, the writers respected her character. Ryan and Taylor wasn't a perfect match, they weren't quite right for each other, but I loved the way the writers dealt with "Marissa" situation. Taylor was so very cute and Seth and Summer was the sweetest couple. It was a good show, I'll miss it.
