These is so good Steve and Dick just kick ass, just to you all know that was Steve that wrote better yet was the composer of that duel. In any case the whole record is great.
great job you did man.you see i am from brazil and the first time i listen that tune just blow my mind, i did not even knew who was lLou Reed at the time but that guitar,Since than I have a LP A TAPE AN A CD. eVEN Lou sound better.Steve kick ass.
@sa4turn No need to bring hate into this. This is Rock n Roll with pictures of me and my guitars. Id be more then happy to watch the same video with you and your expensive toys ;)
A lot of aspiring rock guitarists would do well to learn this note by note. Not one mistake, all notes have meaning, all are from the rock guitar lexicon.
susanmichelson Forgive me but you neglected to mention the lead singer guitarist and writer of this song... the infamous LOU REED originally of "The Velvet Underground" whom released this song originally.
THIS IS THE BEST VERSION, I WONDER HOW MANY PERSONS, NEVER LISTEN TO IT, GREAT MUSIC, THE BAND ROCKS, I DID SEE LOU REED PLAY MANY YEARS AGO IN A SMALL CLUB IN ATLANTA,GA
used to play this tune with my bro in the early 80's with our band. Party's loved it this is the intro is unfriggin real so ahead of it's time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first 13 seconds... and I'm hooked, once again... Classic Rock Dual Guitar intro... Just the BEST EVER. Damn, I miss those days. Hope in my next life I return as a guitarist with this kind of talent.
hello im listening this video from spain and i think the chanells are changed or are not in order.. i mean stereo order. if you listen carefully the melody , the lead, the solo is lower than the rythm guitar... i have edited and changed order channels.. i mean 1 an 2 and now sounds ... correct, powerfull as i remembered always.... one of the best guitar´s solos ever.
Yes I agree this is the best intro ever , have listened to for years on Rock N Roll Animal. Two truly talented guitar players that totally blew me away .
This is the extraordinary and renowned Sweet Jane, recorded LIVE in NYC with the Rock N Roll Animals band: Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter on spectacular dual guitars... transcendant. This great band also featured Prakash John on bass, Whitey Pentti Glan on drums, Ray Colchord on keys... Recorded live at the Brooklyn Academy of Music 1973. It has been re-released several times since by the labels. But who are the guys in these photos? They are not the band that played this music.
@Jcerillo70 : Steve had a few solo albums out in the late 70's covering '8 Miles High', 'Sail On Sailor' and other songs. Best as a studio musician as that's where Hunter's talents really appear to me!
@susanmichelson Susan: I love this song! I was in the audience the night of the performance. But wait! it was the Acadmey of Music on 14th Street. Howard Stein was the producer of many shows throughout the 70's.
As the video title says: The Best Intro Ever! I remember buying a vinyl copy of Transformer and playing this for hours.........! It covers the whole spectrum of solo guitar playing at its very best! Simply Superb!!
What i wanna know, is what sick bastard would DISLIKE this video??? lol

Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner did a lot of studio work during the 70's. Check out Alice Cooper - they were both on a lot of his albums.
