you are not on lochness, i think you got you lock's mixed up , i would say your on the big loch, you said it had more water per volume then all the lakes in englandshire, not true. you would need to be on lochness, a mistake anybody could make, no trying to be funny or smartarse, but i do like your videos.
@shoogelniffty1 Yeah I know - since I never say exactly where I am in my vids, this one was a bit obvious, with the wallabes & all, so I threw a spanner in the works. Although with all these droughts I think the big loch has more than enough drink to fill the watercourses below the border - 2.6 km3 is a lot of h2o.
Hi Im really interested in canoe camping. could u do me a favour and put up a video and/or comment any places in northern and/or central Scotland where I can canoe to an island in a loch. Kind regards Aaron
Another awsome video guys just fantastic camera work.when im out like that i feel so free and independent.keep it up great work thanks for all the hard work.i apreciate the vids.thanks Chris.
Perfect video bud! Why i LOVE Scotland, Just curious what's the song at 11:02 it's right up my neck of the woods! Hopefully will see some new videos soon, Wulamallessin :)
great video guys, when this started i could have sworn this was new hampshire which is where i live its amazing how similar scotland and northern new england look
The technique of using the firesteel to create the spark against a piece of burnt log or stick, then making fire is not one that would have occurred to me. Thanks, man!
Love the video. Where did you get your canoe because i am thinking of getting one. You guys should write a book because you are so knowlegable, any tips you can give me and my mate for when we next go out camping?
@TheBushcraftBoys - Wow are you our doppelgängers? Ha ha, bought the canoe off a bloke on song of the paddle forum - lots of good people on there ready to help you out. Tips? Respect nature & it will pay dividends, get as involved as possible & enjoy yourself. Bushcraft is the best way - less is more as they say & it's true!
@flyingleafman We usually take drinking water on short trips & use stream water for cooking, washing etc. But for longer trips we boil & sometimes filter water from streams & lochs - some streams are so clean in the highlands that we don't hesitate to drink straight from them!
@idgewe Cheers, does dad's army count? Seriously though we're not ex-military we just have a keen interest in the outdoors & we love to get close to nature - bushcraft's the perfect way.
@TheBushcraftBoyz thats a pretty cool hobby , i would love to get out there in the wilderness but being a soft southern englishman i would miss my slippers and eastenders lol , seriously great vids guys keep em comin .
@idgewe the great thing about these skills is that you dont have to be ex-military, there actually very accessable. These guys really have their stuff down and watching their vids can help a lot. a great way to get started is through the woodsmaster series by the Karen Hood and the late Ron Hood over at Survival.com
