I hate UNC, and I was pulling for Illinois, but Sean May absolutely dominated inside, and even though guard-play usually wins in the tournament, decent guard-play combined with a great inside presence will always prevail. UNC was by far the better team in the 2005 title game. Sorry.

Actually, you have it completely wrong; what happened in the past is more of an irrelevance that what it happening at the present time. If you ask a casual sports fan who Deron Williams, they would most likely know he is an NBA player; whereas if you as them who Sean May is, they might be able to say he played for UNC, but I doubt it. Furthermore, if you ask that same person about this game, the only thing they would be able to tell you is that UNC won, but thats about it.

I second the comment. Nobody will ever take away Illinois' accomplishments during the 2004-2005 Mens' Basketball Season. The Fighting Illini would have been 39-0 without those two losses. A Brilliant 6!!
