  • LOL..."I have chicken downstairs. We gotta hurry!" haha that made me crack up for some reason. I am on Day 8 of Tray 1 and got the attachments on the first day. Thanks for the crochet hook tip! I hope I won't have to rely on one but one day I might. They really are a pain to take off and I get annoyed at those people who *brag* about how easy it is to do.

  • Finally someone else who has trouble taking these things off! I've had my first set for 3 days now. It's a huge ordeal for me to get them off. Really painful just before the point where they snap off. I'm hoping it gets better when my teeth become more straight. They're pretty jacked up right now.

  • Ok, so I got my first set of aligners yesterday and got 5 attachments as well. I seriously could not get aligners off at the Orthodontist's office. He had to yank them off for me. I didn't get a hook to help remove them and my fingernails are literally bleeding from trying to yank these things out of my mouth. I called invisalign to see if they could mail me a hook and they said no. I am really annoyed and already sick of treatment. Seven months to go. Your videos are fun by the way.

  • IGFLIP: Go to dentakit (dot) com... click on 'Just for Invisible Clear Aligners' on the left hand side, then click on 'ART- The Aligner/Retainer Removal Tool' you can buy them from there.

  • That or you can just go to a craft store and buy your standard metal crochet hook. I'm certain that's where they got mine from. It's an incredibly small size.

  • i enjoy watching your videos! good to see other's experience with invisalign. my aligners are suppose to arrive soon so i'm psyched about starting treatment.

  • will the shrinking of the gum stop after treatment?

  • I'm sorry I didn't mean to allude that they are shrinking currently. What I meant was that before I started my treatment I hadn't been to the dentist since I was ~ 14 and at 14 years old that was my first time. Since I had only had my teeth cleaned once in that time, I had so much plaque built up that my gums receded. They wont ever grow back and if I want to fix that I would need to get the skin grafts. Invisalign is not the cause of this. Sorry for the confusion.

  • What's funny about that is I thought about, realized it, felt stupid, paused and moved on!!!

    HAHAHA!

  • aaahahahah I laughed so hard when you said "I'm talking a mile an hour!!!" lol hahahaha It's "mile a minute" hahah my grandma could walk a mile in an hour haha
