I loved this trailer, it was so ominous, despite the movie being a disappointment. I always imagined this trailer like it was Vader dreaming of his past, the images running through his head of his former life.

I found Christiansen to be a poor lead, the dialog was extremely wooden, and I just felt that the love story between Padme and Anakin was poorly conceived like bad Shakespeare. I guess I had high hopes for the new movies, but was always left wanting more and feeling like they lost the charm and heroism of the originals.

You knew going in how the prequels would end. This was all about the process of Anakin becoming Vader.

Made plenty of sense to me.

By the way, remember "Anakin's Theme" from the first movie? Musically, the light and airy theme for Anakin, the innocent child ends with the first few chords of the "Imperial March (Vader's Theme)".

No, just no. Ze Phantom Menace was ze beginning of everyzing, and it did have somezing to do wiz ze originals by explaining ze backstories of everyone. Anakin being accepted as a Padawan, Obi-Wan becoming Anakin's master, and stuff. You fail man. Ze Phantom Menace is better zan Attack Of Ze Clones and it didn't have stupid romance in it. All films are SPOCIOUS but still. IMO, Episode I, III, and V are ze best.

What ever episode 2 was the worst. Episode 1 had everything to do with it. It showed the founding of anakin and how he was one of the most powerful jedi in the original 3. It also set up the scenario of palpatine's take over not to mention showed the first REAL lightsaber battle between jedi in their prime.
