  • @BASKETBALLJEZUS Thank you so much!

  • @BASKETBALLJEZUS woah slow down there buddy. This is a good recording but Keith Jarrett is one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time, some might even consider him to be the best of all time. your really good tho 7note :)

  • @QSengupta cool so you mean keth jarrett is the michael jordan of the jazz pianists :p

  • I second that ... AS GREAT AS KEITh JARRETT

  • @MrPeregrines yeah common you can't say he's bad he's verry good i yust say that a a compliment you know ;)

  • i loved the tone of your piano! so gritty and bright with bass and tight voicings!

  • You make it sound so effortless. When I see your playing, I see as musician that have amazing sensibilities but also great control over what you are doing. Each note seems really well thought out and yet nothing sounds mechanical. Would love to play someday like you do.

  • @audelinom Thanks!

  • Genius. Thanks bro.

    DRE

  • Hi 7note. I have the knack for playing the piano but when I was young I didn't study the keyboard and I keep missing notes when I learn by ear. I keep missing notes even after going over it for months. I have an excellent ear for music. I play guitar. I don't read music but I'm learning. My question: How can I keep from missing notes? I played the guitar all my life and have the same problem. Will reading music help?

  • Hi 7notemode. I want to play this type of jazz. So what chords and scales should I learn. Do I need to learn all the scales?

    scootergreen3

  • It's nice, of course, but sounds bit fake.

  • Beautiful! Walking, voicings, scales, timing, taste - you have it all. Maybe some day i'll get it all together too :)

you made me think of Walt Disney's 100 Dalmatians :p

  • so clear clean economical airy cool no slop pedal dig the left hand very cool in both ways

the change in tempo makes it much more moving i think

    enjoyed it thoughrougly

  • Your playing reminds me so much of Vince Guaraldi. That is why I like to hear you so much. I hope you try some Peanuts, Charlie Brown songs. You would do that Brilliantly. Thanks Mike

  • nice interpretation: touch, rythm, percussive attacks, meter, choice of notes,

do you have learning materials available?

this video is a quality lesson on jazz improv. piano playing. not so complicated as to be impossible to follow but at a high level still.

thanks for sharing your knowledge. many musicians will be grateful for this post, especially musicians in places of the world where there is lack of good models, teachers like you.

  • Excellent comment. I agree with on all aspects 100%! It demonstrates a thorough understanding of harmony, rhythms and above all a wonderful sense of self-expression through music. This is a confident performance with advanced jazz techniques, musically satisfying and accessible.

  • thanks. i forgot to mention the supporting melodic bits on the left hand, voiced with chords at times.

    nice video to learn from.

  • Thanks PianoPopular

  • Thanks dcstudio, not a music major, just long time player.
