There is no future in pool. It's the only sport that you can be a professional and still have to live with mom and dad. This kid is better off getting an education. Look at his dad, pool got him nowhere so he shouldn't push it on his son. Pool halls are dangerous places that are full of bad people and bad substances.
@twoface005 It's called a hobby dude. Besides, there are plenty of pool halls where the atmosphere is absolutely fine. Actually, I have yet to go to a pool hall that isn't nice. Although, it helps when you don't go to ones located in bars.
Look kid, if you want to make money in this life and be able to feed your family, stay in school. Even if you were good at pool, and you're not, there's no money in it.
@twoface005 I'm guessing you never watch real pool. There is TONS of money to be made in it. Gambling, or just getting sponsored. But in his case, he wouldn't be gambling. He should already know he would win. I'm from Kentucky as well. Lol Lots of great people come from here, like Johnny Depp. Either way, I would rather have this kid's skill then book smarts any day.
People bet thousands, and hundred thousands, on matches.
@twoface005 I highly doubt you are any better. Besides, trick shooting takes a lot of talent and quite a few of the trick shots he pulled off looked original. Besides, he's only 7 years old. I bet if he keeps playing, he could be one of the best if not the best. Don't shoot a kid's dreams down.
@ACEGAMER120 2 time national champion at what? Shitting in his diapers? C'mon, the best advice you can give this "ordinary" kid is to give up pool and don't become a loser like his papa.
@twoface005 2 time national champion in the sport at only 14 years old. That means he's beat other adults that have spent a good portion of their lives playing this game. Don't crush another kids dreams just because you probably failed at accomplishing yours. Besides, he's still going to school and says that he's going to get an education just in case. Problem solved. It's no different than kids playing in other sports like football and it sure beats playing video games all day.
i don't think he's saying he's the best pool player, he's just saying that out of all the things he's good at, he's best at playing pool. just like a regular student saying, "i'm good at science, but i'm best at math". if you'd paid attention to the end of the video, you'll notice he did say he wouldn't say he's the best, but he admits he's pretty good.
