PSP is the most underrated console of all time, at least in the west. Its graphics and audio are beautiful and perfect for a handheld. And It really has the most immersive portable games ever. Could never experience great games as dissidia, gow and star ocean on a weak powerless ds screen. DS graphics are a joke, especially in our time. PSP needs more attention and more games!

@MrShazDude The PSP Go sucks for people like me, that have had my psp from the begining, and have been slowly accumulating game disks. I think the GO looks amazing, and that sony should have made the psp like that to begine with "dual analog sticks". Sony should have also given the option to ether buy the disk or buy the download for the GO. not just download everything. I Really don't want to have to re-buy every game i already own. Plus they're not releasing every game for download.
Nope2. Mine is okay. I played all ds games without any lags or probs on psp. This is about gameplay. As long as you can play ds games on psp,we still can enjoy the gameplay,fool. Can DS do what PSP done? huh. DS is just 3% of PSP.

There's no touch screen, so that makes a majority of the DS games on PSP really bad (i.e. pressing buttons on the touch screen doesn't work the way I want it to). The DS emulator on the NGP may be good, even though we haven't tried it, but for now, stop looking for shitty reasons to defend Sony.

@alternateshadow300 well if you look at the graphics for the DS they aren't just lackluster but actually just downright poor. i bought a ds and am only buying my first psp tomorrow but what has turned me off of the ds and also nintendo is that they are pumping out the shittiest 3rd party games i've ever seen ("imagine teacher" i mean come on) and its so geared to small children its sickening, also nowadays nintendo seems to only be focused on the innovation of games (ds touch screen and wiimote)

Barely any video game companies have even considered making a 3rd party DS game (Resident Evil DS and GTA Chinatown Wars are the only ones I'm familiar with). The DS was intentionally a system for everyone to enjoy, but no video game companies are making mature games for it which is retarded. Which is why there's gonna be TONS of 3rd party content on the 3DS, which I definitely look forward to.

A great example of that would be Kingdom Hearts 358 2days vs kingdom hearts birth by sleep. BBS i sat and played to the finish it was so good, 358/2days was horible and frustrating, camera issues, blurry as fuck, the game was almost unplayable. People need to stop sucking nintendo's dick and move on.

if you're talking about pokemon on the gameboy, chrono trigger in the snes and final fantasy on what not console, then yeah, you could emulate them on PSP. That's onre of the things the PSP owns the DS on. It can do much much more than DS ( hell, you can even put an N64 emulator!)
PSP has better graphics and way more functions than a DS. For Gods sake you can use the thing as a fuking phone, get internet, and play online, with games that are made for people over the age of freakn 10.

The ds has MORE games than psp but Quality > Quantity. The average psp game has something like 10 times the depth of a ds game. Take god of war for example, smooth gameplay with brilliant game mechanics, fantastic animation and addictive gameplay. Good blood particle effects along with shadowing and lighting and it maintains a solid framerate throughout it.
for the record, i don't own a ds, i bought a psp as soon as it came out, and i never played with it cause it was boring. gameplay>quality, and god of war is the only game people bring up. and the ds has more to offer than 3d side scrollers, they have racing games, first person shooters, puzzle games, rpg's, all the kinds of games that the psp has to offer. and don't even get me started on umd movies.

browsing on the psp sucks anyways, u can't do it outside cause of glare, and who wants to listen to youtube with shitty mic quality? and as for m rated games, it doesn't need to be m-rated to be a good game, and its not nintendo's fault, they have to get third party licencing from a company that will actually make m-rated games for the ds.
It's faster than ds internet and I'm guessing you haven't played a psp 3000 which eliminates glare from the sun. :P

@alternateshadow300 well if you look at the graphics for the DS they aren't just lackluster but actually just downright poor. i bought a ds and am only buying my first psp tomorrow but what has turned me off of the ds and also nintendo is that they are pumping out the shittiest 3rd party games i've ever seen ("imagine teacher" i mean come on) and its so geared to small children its sickening, also nowadays nintendo seems to only be focused on the innovation of games (ds touch screen and wiimote)

@mechanoid2k You have a point. Nintendo admitted they have terrible 3rd party support. Barely any video game companies have even considered making a 3rd party DS game (Resident Evil DS and GTA Chinatown Wars are the only ones I'm familiar with). The DS was intentionally a system for everyone to enjoy, but no video game companies are making mature games for it which is retarded. Which is why there's gonna be TONS of 3rd party content on the 3DS, which I definitely look forward to.

@alternateshadow300 Just because an old game is good does not mean we should halt inovation, graphics do limit gameplay in many ways, ds games definitly lack the depth psp titles have. A great example of that would be Kingdom Hearts 358 2days vs kingdom hearts birth by sleep. BBS i sat and played to the finish it was so good, 358/2days was horible and frustrating, camera issues, blurry as fuck, the game was almost unplayable. People need to stop sucking nintendo's dick and move on.

@26youb Yeah, but it's shit. It DOES lag, the games run too slow, and some don't run at all. There's no touch screen, so that makes a majority of the DS games on PSP really bad (i.e. pressing buttons on the touch screen doesn't work the way I want it to). The DS emulator on the NGP may be good, even though we haven't tried it, but for now, stop looking for shitty reasons to defend Sony.
Besides, when you play the "DS GAMZ ON PSP LOL" card, you're pretty much promoting Nintendo more than Sony.

@UTelite You know i agree with you about how nice it is to be able to download Movies, Music, Games, Web brows ext. But i've seen the DS do as much/ the same things. If you're buying the psp just for rom hacks, their are other cheaper devices that will do and handle rom emulaters better, yet still have good controles and visuals. Then you dont have to worry or chance damaging your PSP or DS. (Its all just a personal opinion). everyone will argue for there favorit one. I own both, and enjoy both

if you're talking about pokemon on the gameboy, chrono trigger in the snes and final fantasy on what not console, then yeah, you could emulate them on PSP. That's onre of the things the PSP owns the DS on. It can do much much more than DS ( hell, you can even put an N64 emulator!)

The ds has MORE games than psp but Quality > Quantity. The average psp game has something like 10 times the depth of a ds game. Take god of war for example, smooth gameplay with brilliant game mechanics, fantastic animation and addictive gameplay. Good blood particle effects along with shadowing and lighting and it maintains a solid framerate throughout it.

It has capabilities of letting you listen to music, watch movies, browse the internet, watch photo slideshows, take photos or videos which a camera add on, theres a gps add on, with psp go there's bluetooth, and there's access to playstation store, etc.
If you hack it it can become a universal remote, u can use googlemaps, u can go on utube, etc.

psp 3000 isn't even different from the original. call of duty 5, grand theft auto chinatown wars, C.O.R.E, ultimate mortal kombat, and touch the dead are all m-rated ds games. and i'd rather play games on a small screen that i can actually see than a psp screen.
