haha yeah this is actually pretty easy even when you are doing it manually without autopilot.. But great mission anyway:P Anyone know where to download jet missions
just follow what the ATC controller tells you, and keep checking the GPS at all times, and 1-2 miles from the runway u shud see its lights, and fly straight in, not as bad as it looks, just practice, this is my most flown mission on FSX, but i use the PMDG 747 lol.
@LuckyBambooExpert yes it is quite poor when it comes to ATC. I take lessons in Ultralight Trike's and i practice the pattern in FSX with touch and go's often. In FSX i finish the pattern, I request for a touch and go, get approved, land, and just when I'm about to pull up again the ATC goes off and says: "Please contact ground on (whatever frequency) for parking options." Then after another second it says: "Take-off was not approved. ATC services terminated." It's so messed up.
Sorry but why dont you use the glide slope while the runway is not even in sight? I have spotted 4 moments where you should have excecuted a missed approach.
@TheA1scouser Thats the hard part of this mission. On short final, right over the airport boundary, that darned LLWS kicks in and tries to shove you into the ground, then once you've cleared it, you get the backdraft and it forces you up, which makes it extremely hard to land at a good descent rate on the touchdown markers. If your using the autopilot, it can't react fast enough and you crash. You can see it in this vid too. You have to prepare and just fly it manually, like you said.
Difficult as too slow a speed in these conditions will cause the engine to stall. Suggest 165 approach on touchdown using rudder if possible. Make the approach a little steeper than usual with spoilers will also help, but watch out as spoilers are a killer for taking the speed out.
I don´t understand! I´m landing with ILS and 1,5 miles before I can see the runway, but 200m in front of the runway I´m too low and crash, although I´m landing with AP! WHY??
@SuperDreamliner787 i have the same problem... the very first time i somehow managed to slam nose first into the runway, the second time i was short of the runway and slammed into that building. im going to try again with a different speed. i did exactly wut ATC and co pilot said but it seems to take u short of the runway.
@16hypen3sp Yes, but a few days ago I tried it again and made it by a new way. When I had the runway in sight I turned the AP off and landed manually and landed safely! Good luck!
@SuperDreamliner787 You can't land with AP.You will Have to navigate following the compass. You must at least stay at 2,500ft until u see the runway localizer for Runway 02C.Try it.Its easy but keep in mind to arm your spoilers to descend easily
i remember the first time i did this mission.......it was time to land and the runway was 2miles to the left lol. banked hard, stalled and, well, at 200 ft u know the rest...
I am thinking of getting a track IR is it worth the money? I mean $200 is fucking expensive for an infrared camera and some software it seems like a ripoff.
@MrCartingProductions you move the visual by holding spacebar and moving your mouse let go of the space bar when you are done moving. Works with almost every view.

@HongKongBoyz100 I agree with you, FSX is not the best simulator when it comes to landing with other traffic around you. The ATC is very poor.

You really should your LOC/GS tracking, that's if you were even following the ILS
anonymous10011 9 months ago
The task is to use the ILS-System and to do an ILS-Landing...why didn't you use it? Your autopilot and the approach-system is off!
ThePole1989 9 months ago
@ThePole1989 It may be off because of the instant replay feature in fsx, it doesnt show little details like that.

Press the APP button once on the localiser, once you have 250' to go, and good visuals, de-couple the AP, then land. Easier from an external view.
