I have to question the term "honor killing" which would mean it was done by a family member. Also this fuels anti-Muslim feeling which runs high in my country. People are murdered for being gay in many different countries, due to religious or other reasons. This is not unique to muslim countries.

I also want to remind you, Turkey does have a visible gay community. I suspect if this had happened in Egypt or Saudi Arabia we would have never heard about it.
