  • Dear Walking Bear, How would you use the essentail oil of this wintergreen herb? II remembered your video in the health store and got some oil to iinclude in the many herbs I take each day, as a way to help them work together for my optimal health. Thank you so much. Blessings, bro

  • @EyeCanC4Miles I would not use essential oil for internal use. It is very concentrated and could be dangerous. Even topically I recommend mixing it with a carrier oil like olive oil. Internal use I find best with this plant in a tea or tincture form. Even a decoction.

  • grizzly wintergree is the shit better than medicine

  • i've watched quite a few of your videos, but this one, so far, is the best. i felt the spirit of the plants. and you really taught me something about giving an offering before i just go in and invade a patch of plants. thank you so much. keep vlogging and rock on dude.

  • @peacelovehippychick

    Walalin=Thank you.

  • This is great thank you for posting. I have wintergreen all over my yard. I also believe your comments about community with the plants of this earth. There are many things we have forgotten. I also believe it is the Creator who gave the ability for ancient people to come to understand and know plants for their medicinal value, where to find them, etc. because how else would they have known.

  • thank you so very much-

  • beautiful, thank you for sharing this with me, i needed this!

  • VERY GOOD FOR THE MUSCLES

  • I was taught many years ago that the leaves must be dried before making tea and should be taken on an empty stomach than straight to sleep to stop laryngitis.

  • Very good advice. Thank you for sharing.. If you don't have dry you can do it with fresh. Just will have a greener flav.

  • I'm sorry. I deleated your last post without meaning to. I was trying to reply. Anyways, the Elders tell me that the oils become more concentrated when dry.

  • yes it was old timers that taught me so the advice is over 70 years old, that must be why they said only one tsp of crushed leaves, had a small amount of high altitude sickness, which weakened me to high fever & laryngitis, above 11,000 ft.. close to 12, advised to drank a qt unfiltered pear juice (before pasteurization) no solid food that day & than before bed, wintergreen tea (had flying dreams that night) & by morning I was whole, blood test showed no HAS, so I didn't have to leave the mt's.

  • Better than leaving the mountains to go to the hospital to decompress.

  • alot of what you are saying isnt that accurate it cannot prevent heart attacks or kidney failure

the main purpose of this plant is to relieve pain because it has the chemical metyl siliciilate which is more commonly used in advil or asprin.

  • I have worked with this plant for more than 11 years. This has been my experence and there is much doc. to back it up. There are 1,000s of chemicals in this plant, not just methyl silicilate. I have two people I have worked with in the past, both with congestive heart failure, both have seen amazing results just after a few weeks use of this plant. One has gone from 20% use of his heart to 82% in 2 months. There is much more to plant medicine than chemistry. Thank you for your comment.

  • @TimWalkingBear Have you ever fermented wintergreen leaves? Thank you for showing this.

  • @MiWilderness No I have never used it that way. But it should work fine.

  • never take or use wintergreen oil full strength it can kill you, 5grams a day of dried leaves is safe, ,it seems to be an innocent plant and is basically safe, but not as safe as mint plants. it would take a very long time of drinking it daily at high amounts for damage, not recommend for those with kidney or liver problems instead cranberry for kidney and artichoke leaf tea for liver. the way it helps heart is removing inflammation in the body, inflammation causes cancer, heart trouble etc.

  • Oh and of course thinning the blood and reducing blood pressure, same as garlic does. I find it a good recovery plant for most sicknesses.

  • That shit is good in dip

  • Thanks for sharing. While I have some personal doubts about the impact of our interaction with plants, I admire your faith and the respect you have for the natural world. What a good example for how our willingness to have an open mind (wild heart) can help us improve our lives.
