  • If only it was pretty like the Lexus CT200h.

  • is the highway you test on relatively flat? What speeds do you do for your highway testing? Thanks

  • @itwasthepudding The highway loop has plenty of elevation changes, although it's not mountainous, by any means. Highway testing info is explained in detail on the written review ... there's a link in the description.

  • 59mpg... sounds so sweet

  • @Spankyliz We get 40 with our 07 and we are very satisfied with the car. Wife does not drive the way you should to save fuel and with a 6 mile drive to work the car barely gets warmed up and it is shut off. After work she drives to gym 4 miles it sits an hour then she drives 3 miles home. If it is cold outside she burns the AC to spite me I think but that is ok 75K miles same brakes 2.5 set of tires many many oil changes 1 O censor. I really thinking of getting her an electric car.

  • you forgot to mention that the exterior of the prius look way better than older model, stepping away from being associated from green tree hugger.

  • all your reviews are on the good side! are the cars that good?

  • @gadgetguy4000 We do things differently. If we encounter an issue, we'll point it out ... but we're not here to whine. Our primary purpose is to help folks identify the most fuel-efficient vehicle that fits their specific needs.

  • @mpgomatic Ohh Gotcha! By the way I love your reviews!! Can you guys do the Mitsubishi Outlander 2010 model? I have one and want to see what you guys think of it!

  • @gadgetguy4000 Thx! The Outlander is a solid SUV. Have you seen our '09 review?

  • @mpgomatic Yes I have! Every review and accelerations video is watched for me! Im waiting for more to come out! Are you guys going to do the 2010 or 2011?

  • @gadgetguy4000 We should have some footage of the '10 Outlander, in a stack of tape somewhere. As I recall, the differences between the '09 and '10 weren't huge (slightly more HP and an updated audio system)? There's a 2011 Outlander Sport on the upcoming schedule.

  • @mpgomatic Yea the differences weren't big at all and I can't wait for you to post that video! Also, do you guys get paid for this, is this a companyÉ Sorry my question mark key isnt working for some reason.

  • @gadgetguy4000 This is a full-time gig. Not a job, just eight days of work every week. :) We are advertising supported. No corporate backing or ties.

  • Without a doubt, you have a knack for this. If I were in the business, I would pay you to do reviews. Truly, good job on this video.

  • @tedirelan Thanks for the kind words!

  • Smug Test!

  • Can you review the Lexus CT200h please?

  • the prius gets good gas milage, but does not justify the extra cost over the honda insight hybrid. the prius costs $5000 more and to get the cost even between both vehicles, you have to drive over 400,000 miles to start saving money with the prius.

  • They actually added a USB port to the Solar package on IVs recently

  • блин!!!!!!я сейчас расплачусь...она мне нужна!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! оболденна машина,и дизайн и ходовые качества...ммммммммм....конфетка!!!!!!!!

  • I have been meaning to ask you, where are all of these videos filmed? City and state?

  • Nearly all of the review videos are shot in the Garden State in various locations. (Where there's a good bit of snow on the ground at the moment.)

  • new jersey?

  • Er, yup!

  • I cant wait until this guy test reviews the volt.

  • This guy can't wait, either. :)

  • I wonder how long it would take for the Prius to be a better overall value than the insight (prius getting slightly better mpg and the insight costing less).

  • Big variables are the cost of fuel and the number of miles driven. You can use the MPGomatic Mileage Calculator (on the website) to run the numbers. I have a hunch it might take a while to cover the difference in cost ...

  • I heard 360,000 miles when the prius got 41.2 and the insight got 40.1 mpg. So more than you will drive I think.

  • Instantly.

The Prius has better interior room, acceleration and handling.

  • Fantastic review. I enjoy them all, you get right to the point! BTW, that Prius is so COOL.....

  • Thanks, Auxmike!

  • These videos are so quiet

  • Good review! I've been awaiting this. It was said months ago that Toyota would rectify the glaring omission of a USB port for full iPod integration come September, which would really make the car perfect. :-) Thanks Dan!

  • Thanks, MHJ! Our test car didn't have the USB port, unfortunately. I've fixed the text review and will be adding a sticky to the video.

  • Cool car except for the center gauges. It accelerates much faster than I expected.

  • On/off heated seats?! What decade is this!

  • Y'know, I like the heated seats that offer different heating options for the horizontal and vertical surfaces. Heat on my lower back = good. Heat on my rear end = not good. :)

  • I bet you couldn't wait to get your hands on this!

  • It turned in some amazing numbers, no doubt about that.

My 85-year-old mom really liked the Prius ... it was one of her faves. "They make this car for old people!" she said. "It's so easy to get in and out of the seat."

She also liked the MINI Cooper S Convertible. I had to winch her out of the seat, tho. ;)
