hey tom question..... i got a 1090T on a 990FXA-UD7 in a RS240 watercooling kit and i saw temps of 60'C last night. gave it a lil slack and its about 55'C. livin the caribbean my room temps are 27'C. are my temps way tooooo high? what was the temps like on Snow Drift?

Hey tom, this is probably just a tad off topic, but when you brought up the blue coolant it reminded me to ask this. I'm going for a UV type of design for my next build, and I was wondering as to what looks better, UV colored tubing or UV colored water. I've heard the chemicals you put into UV coolant starts to build up on your water blocks, but I have no clue if that is even true also.

@Gunrangler Painting the rad white would have no effect on performance whatsoever. A white rad works just as well as a black one. The black having a better radiation spectrum thing is a myth.

I wouldn't suggest painting the rad in white, put a false wall in or something, they are black because it allows for the largest radiation spectrum to be emitted, white would be the worst for that. Sorry if that sounds like im trying to do your job for you, but would you be able to do a test with it black and then a test with it white just to see the difference I know if definitely makes a difference in cars but they are dealing with a much larger thermal mass.

@goattke If I'm not mistaken, Tom said in the video that's he's going to build a white Corsair 600T rig in the near future. I'm well aware that the NürburgRig is based on a Bitfenix Shinobi case, I actually got a black one sitting on my build table right now.

Gonna try to get some of my customers wanting custom builds to have me build inside the Shinobi, or even the new Shinobi XL, the Shinobi series is a GREAT look set of cases.

@DrunkenMunk123 For nVidia go with EVGA, ASUS or MSI but make sure you get a model with a custom cooler if you want to overclock it. Mine has ASUS' DirectCU II tech and it's pretty damn cool but from what I saw around the net MSI's TwinFrozr III is ever better.
