  • Not quite up there with the Robosapiens of recent years.

  • THese 'bots and their accessories are directly derived from the movie "Forbidden Planet," which, if you like this, is a real rush.

  • I'm proud to say I've got them all.. Took ages to collect but got there in the end. None of their motors work but I don't care, they look great and bring back loads of happy memories.

  • The fathers of the Zoids...

  • Oh wow! I had Zobor and Zerak! After all these years, I never knew they had names. As I got older (I was probably 4-5 at most when I got them) I could tell they were part of the same toy line, but no idea of anything else. Thanks for uploading this!

  • These things are awesome. I wish I could have one.

  • Wow! I remember those motors! Same ones in the Motoriffic cars and the Boatariffic boats! Had 'em all at one point or another. . .

  • Zintar is the coolest. I wish they'd re-release these, without "updating" them.

  • awesome!

  • awesome!

  • Had the blue one in 68

  • @rustkeeper wonder how much those would be worth nowdays.

  • @Dirtfire Heres a little more to my Zeroid toy, My parents had hired a Santa to come to our house to give me a gift this is what he brought, the Santa was so drunk he knocked over the bird cage and wanted my Mom to sit on his lap ...true story..Xmass 1968..bird was dead the next day.

  • @rustkeeper heh. I don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for ya. I'll do both.

At least you got a nice toy and an interesting memory out of it.

  • @Dirtfire dunno but i have all 3 in the loft in their cases. Never could sell them even though i don't play with them or even look at them. i suppose my kids with stick em in a auction when I am wearing my wooden overcoat

  • @Dirtfire I paid $50 on ebay for a Zintar, with hands missing, and some damage. worth every penny though.

  • Glad to see that the reverser is included. Nothing annoys me more when I make a purchase to find that it doesn't come with a reverser.

  • @GummoNZ Yeah, I bought a peel P50, and damn was i pissed off.

  • i had them they were well made

  • My brothers and I had these -- the memories come back now!

  • Bring them back!!!! Old is new again!!!!

  • I still have my Zeroids. Zerak is my fav. These were among my favourite toys, and I still have the plastic boxes/sleds with their card backing too (a little used though). I could never let my toys go, and now I'm pleased I've still got them. Played with lots. Thanks for sharing this commercial - I don't remember seeing it.

  • As I recall, the Zeroids were metallically color-coded. Zobor was supposed to made of bronze; Zerak was supposed to be silver; and Zintar was supposed to be gold! About a year later, they introduced the ruler of planet Zero: Zogg (who seemed to be coal-black steel).

  • its so old, that its so funny

  • I used to have Zobor. Parents sold him in a garage sale back in 1980. My MMM is gone too. Oh the humility of getting old.

  • I miss those old toy companies. At the risk of sounding old these kids today don't know what there missing.

  • @b003 im happy with my psp lol

  • @b003 "Sounding old"?

These kids today DON'T know what they're missing!!!

  • Awe... Awesome. That was the most awesome Zeroid commerical I've ever seen

  • I have Zobor on display. He still works. I wish I could find the paper inserts, though.

  • roflz loser

  • They were great! Loved them when I was little.

  • Awesome toys. Zeroids & Matt Mason were so ahead of their time.. There are some really cool documentaries about The Coloforms Out Of Space Men as well on youtube.. incredible imagination behind it.

  • I love these robots. I used to have the star seeker flying saucer in blue metal, and most of the other accessories. I was only able to save the robots themselves from mother's spring cleaning back in 1970. i keep them with the major matt mason and Colorforms outer space men on a display case in my bedroom. I wish that J. F. Kennedy had not been assasinated, and we had a space materiel production economy instead of one based on war munitions consumption for the Bush Family and their CIA buddies!

  • i bet you i can think of something funnier to say in... 3 words?

    "MightySaturn5 is silly"

  • My cousin had the Zeroid whose "capsule" transformed into a long buffet complete with kosher brunch. Ideal "pulled it" after only a year. The herring kept corroding the battery terminals.

  • Saw Zemo at a toy auction and it went for £400... Its the only one missing from my collection. Four hundred quid is a bit painful though? :( .. have to sell a kidney.

Such great toys. Matt Mason, Zeroids, Cyborg & Muton.. arrrhh!.. those were the days.

  • Hi djx64

Just out of interest what colour was this Zemo? and was he a working example, with cosmobile.

    cheers Chris

  • check out the tribute to Zemo I have uploaded

  • There's one on ebay right now. Good description/photos.

Thanks for posting this... vivid memories of Zintar.

I love the music used in this commercial!

  • The ZEMO made a huge price but unfortunatley the winner could only pay with paypal and that is WAY to risky so the sale has not gone through, ZEMO stays at home in the UK.

  • Did anyone have ZEMO, the lost zeroed he is supposed to be the rarest of them all, a composite robot of parts of the other three from the first range in 1968 with a few differences of his own thrown in.

  • You did,and you're flogging it on ebay.

  • Fantastic! I wish I still had mine.

  • Yeah I loved these.Had the one that came with the big yellow wheel. My brother put it on his head and couldn't get it off! There are some videos on here with Men from outer space figures but no commercials.Does anyone remember Sea devils Aquanauts, the Major Matt Mason type scuba guys? Really wish I had all my '60's toys still!!!

  • I had one when I was a kid in 1968.

  • oh my god! i was 10 years old when these came out,i remember begging my grandmother for one of the robots for christmas, she said i didn't need one, then on christmas day i opened up my presents from her and i had all four of them!grandme busted my chops!.

  • just bought zerak off ebay for 86pounds....well worth it as brings back memories as a kid(now aged 50)haha

  • Check out my photo collage of ZEMO the "lost zeroid" supposed to be the rarest zeroid out there, and its fully working too.

  • FORWARDS!......AND BACKWARDS!!!

My apologies for being so used to new stuff.

  • I still have zintar and he is out exploring right now

  • My dad lets me play with zogg ^_^ and the special green one

  • Well it is refreshing to know that there are other kids around my age group that remembers those wonderful toys. Do you remember the boaterific boats. I just bought a couple off ebay for a couple of bills

  • I got zobor in august 1969 he only lasted a few weeks.

  • Well it is refreshing to know that there are other kids around my age group that remembers those wonderful toys. Do you remember the boaterific boats. I just bought a couple off ebay for a couple of bills

  • Can't recall the boaterific boats but what about the colorform aliens?

  • The Colorforms Outer Space Men AKA aliens are sweet. I don't think a commercial exist for those, but if one does, I wish I had it. I will be uploading more commercials at some point though.

  • I am 100 percent positive there was a commercial for the colorform's aliens. Haven't seen it in about 39 years.

  • Thanks.. I thought I was the only one that had zeroids! My favorive toys.

  • Well it is refreshing to know that there are other kids around my age group that remembers those wonderful toys. Do you remember the boaterific boats. I just bought a couple off ebay for a couple of bills

  • Wow I forgot I had these as a kid. Where did they go? Did I really break that many toys back then?

  • Cool! We had those as kids! One of our all-time favourite toys!
