You said it yourself. Mr. Dobbs viewership was down.  Lou Dobbs had limited his range of issues, and opinion causing a stagnant, albeit consistent presentation during his broadcast(s).

As I understand it, his forte was economics. Had he stayed with it, there may have been a longer run to his on-air persona.

I heard the guys at CNN didn't want him talking about the "birthers" anymore and it made Lou mad. And they have been going at it for about 2 weeks now. Plus, i heard that Larry King was dressing up in womens clothes and coming into Lous dressing room. When Lou asked him what he was doing in there King kept replying "I am Lou Dobbs, Thats why." And I heard it was Hugo Chavez that shot at his house.

Actually, Zennie, I love your videos, but I think you jumped too fast on this commentary. There's more to the story and you could work on this for a day or two and had your thoughts more collected. Some feel Dobbs is about to enter politics, and if you hear his resignation speech, it sure sounds that way to me.

Also, CNN could do much better at regaining their prominence without Dobbs, and that's the bottom line to his being fired, , No one leaves a cushy contract 3 years early.

Good point...while I agree with a lot of what Lou has to say, I'd become so disappointed with his broadcast - I wanted a lot more NEWS, and a lot less of those damn discussion groups (generally right-leaning, rather than "independent" thought).. I was on the brink of tuning out after this week anyway after 3 1/2 years viewership..now my decision's been made for me!
