In defense of YESSONGS, the film: I confess that I just didn't "get" what Yes was, or was about, until I was dragged, somewhat against my will, into seeing a midnight showing of the film in an old down-at-heel cinema. It was a conversion experience for me. Sure, there's better representations of them elsewhere, and we collectors all got our copies of this or that. But that film footage all those years ago helped those of us out in the boonie see the group that never played our town.

Ultra Rare? God help us! This is the most widely available Yes concert. I'm actually SICK of seeing Yessongs. Hope someone comes up with somehting REALLY ultra rare.

@MrKayley10 I just wish someone would find a better version / master copy of Yessongs and put it out. The version I own leaves a lot to be desired, including highs fading in and out on one part, during CTTE I think it is.

Seems Yes hasn't taken care of / much cared about a lot of their own historic stuff... Last I heard they've yet to locate half of the ori. master of CTTE album.

I was at their Boston (Garden) show of this tour, could it be almost 40 years ago?

The video is not in sync with the recording. The recording you hear is that of the album Yessongs. Which show is the video of? I know none of the Boston sets made the album because of the Gardens notoriously poor acoustics. But It's definitely the same tour, because the customs are correct, It sure would be nice to see the rest of the film even if the soundtrack doesn't match-up perfectly.

@tutorturtle This is not the recording of the 'Yessongs' LP or CD. A different vocal intro, a different introduction ('Ah... Mr. Rick Wakeman on keyboards'), a whole different tune ('Jingle Bells') played at 2:00. I'm not sure, but this is probably a fragment from the 'Yessongs' movie that was released in 1974.

Grazie Roby per questo frammento comunque bellissimo. Ritengo questo assolo tastieristico (tutto completo) il migliore in assoluto di tutta la scena rock progressive dei primi anni 70. Ricordo indelebile il mito di Rick Wakeman per gli allora 14 enni come me.
