Dog The Bounty Hunter and his family of rich white people will hunt down every freeloading Hawaiian bum and give them a place to live in a California prison. And they also collect the bones of your ancestors and give them to the family pit bulls who have a better quality of life than native Hawaiians HAHAHAHAHAHA !
u like know how thats possible for us people too be living like that i tell you y its because of all the people from other countries coming to our island and living makes it hard for us too live our lifes thats real.
Paradise? Or Plagued? Hawaii is one of the most beautiful island chains in the South Pacific. But there are things going on over there that most people don't know about. Ice has plagued the islands and even people who live in homes across from the beaches are no help either. They are the ones complaining to have these people removed.
The solution to homelessness is not money or jobs or anything like that, the solution is legally owning land in allodial title, with no property taxes due. this has a systemic effect on the economy, hours worked just to get by goes from 40hrs to 10hrs or even less, if you provide for your own food on your own land then you will likely still need to work 20 hours a week but only 10 hours will be outside the garden/farm see george gordon org and if you work more be charitable
Did three tours in the 1980's,(on and off not consecutively), in the Navy, a total of approx7 years on the island of Oahu. Know first hand of racism there between the Whites and the Natives. I could not understand it, being single and living on the Ship. But then learned of the housing allowances allowed to anyone in Active Duty status, just for the asking. Put two+two together and understood the housing problem/situation. This documentary is all too real! Probably worse too since the 1980's.
i'm in college and my political science teacher brought this up in class...there were maybe 300 people in class and no one knew anything about it. The goverment and media exposes what it wants too and thats sad most people are in the dark about whats going on with issues like this but yet we know about brittney babies...really sad
Love what they are doing for the homeless. However, it is in not my problem that many are homeless. If they can't afford rent then you must make changes. If you must move to the mainland than so be it. Stop getting $70,000 trucks, stop having 7 kids, stop drinking so much Heineken. Get a job an quit making excuses and stop waiting for handouts you effin losers.
The issue is deeper than you know and we need more positive solutions rather than hupo comments and belittlement. May the Lord bless you and keep you safe.
What are we missing here? How much deeper is the issue then? I am all about helping people but many of the homeless population I do not feel sorry for as they lived beyond their means and could not afford the lifestyle they chose. Tough love is what many need instead of the coddling they receive. Coddling is why many kids that are 36 still live with parents.
I understand where you are coming from. I hear it often. Have you ever been down to the Waianae coast and spoke with any of these people? I have. MOST families on the beach have two working parents. And most don't qualify for food stamps because they make $5 over the income limit. I was homeless for almost 4 years. I could not afford to rent, pay for college and live on the peanuts i made at my job. So I lived in my car. I am just thankful I had no children to drag around.Thank u 4 your response
But the great US of A donate 3 billion to Iseal and American and Hawaiians are homeless and starving everyday!!!!

I don't understand, ho could there be homeless in Hawaii? It seems to be one of the more well to do states. How are these people not taken care of?

If you think that the Super Ferry Sucks, some of these people wouldn't be homeless if there was the ferry which would have provided jobs.

Instead of making a railroad even if it is important, why don't they make a giant stadium hotel thingy as a home for the poor native Hawaiians.

Let's dig up the cemetary at Punchbowl. We can just put the whole foods there.
