@R74W2 well, the argued logic is found in Gundam X, Dome reveals the newtypes don't really exist, its just some humans with some mutations that lead to powers, newtypes are just something humans invented in their minds in order to explain this phenomena. Therefore, Newtypes dont exist
did that just show gundams from different timelines wtf that is some strange shit and if the moonlight butterfly did reduce tech to shit then why did they still have images of these other timelines
@trichrono The Moon was presumably protected by the Turn X when the Turn A did its stuff - but all the different timelines are the same timeline, separated by the points when the Turn A was activated and *reset human civilisation*. Hell, the machine they're watching this on is D.O.M.E., the supercomputer from Gundam X that contained the consciousness of the first Newtype.
Yet another ridiculously overpower Gundam?? D: This time, it returned the Earth back into the damn Stone Age. It basically said "GG You are all officially fucked sideways! Have fun with no computers and indoor plumbing!"
Turn A in my mind will always be plain and simple super late U.C. They only find ancient suits from U.C. Series they only mention the U.C. When talking about the dark history. They even tell you what happened to all the space colonies from U.C. Wing X and G were only thrown in because of what Turn A was supposed to be, the last Gundam series. Why would tomino bother much with timelines that weren't from shows he directe
Every Gundam series except 00 is within the Dark History. Originally SEED was also excluded, but Tomino decided to add it to the Dark History recently. Here's the short version of my theory on how eras in the Dark History are arranged.
UC (Gundam)==>AW (X)==>CE (SEED)==>AC (Wing)==>FC (G Gundam)=========>CC (Turn A)
after war gundam x... earths civilisation was wiped out by the turn A so the colony could not have dropped because that colony also pretty much wiped out earths civilisation
and as i say down there i nresponse to someone space leos are from gundam wing gundam wing is not universal centuary it is after colony *number*
I really need to watch this series. I think I'm gonna love it. Plus that moonlight butterfly kicks ass. hope they release Turn A in HG for with the effect parts...^_^
@Godzilla00X All those holograms are showing Turn A's ancient history, which turns out to be a combination of all prior Gundam shows, though that's just a theory among fans. After centuries of fighting between Earth and the space colonies, the colonies leave the Earth Sphere to explore outer space. Then about 10,000 years ago, the Turn A Gundam uses its Moonlight Butterfly attack to spread nanomachines all over the world and destroy civilization.
I'm sorry to throw this out there, but the FC, UC, AW, and AC all end with the CC. I admit, I really did like Turn ∀ Gundam. the connection here is because all of these series' had Yoshiyuki Tomino working on them, and he wanted them to all have a connection. I've seen the same chart as everyone else here, and just throwing out that SEED and 00 are their own series'. they have their own stories that the director's will probably make other series' related to those.
@Allelujah121123 Just recently, Tomino included SEED into the Dark History. 00 is still left out. I have a theory on how the timelines are connected, but it's a slightly long one. Ready? Okay. First up would be UC. It starts off the Dark History by moving the first humans into space and evolving small handfuls of them into Newtypes. The next era in my opinion would be AW. I think the UC ends with some sort of cataclysmic war that ends with a massive colony drop operation that annihlates-
@Allelujah121123 PART II -over 90% of the human population. I think AW comes right after UC because of the continued existence of Newtypes. After the events of Gundam X, it can be assumed that civilization builds up again and for a long time without war. Because of this long area and absence of colonies, humans could not go into space as often and therefore cannot evolve into Newtypes. As a result, they become extinct. My next guess is CE. In this era, Newtypes are no more. They have--
@Allelujah121123 PART III -Coordinators. Coordinators are like Newtypes in the sense that they have super human reflexes. However, they are genetically enhanced and not naturally born. So they're more like CYBER-Newtypes. My guess is that something horrible (colony related) happens again, causing mankind to reboot their society. And in doing so they rebuild over a long period of time and relaunch a colony into space. And civilization was rebuilt after that colony "After Colony", get it?--
@Allelujah121123 PART IV -AC would be my next guess for the next era. There are no genetically or metaphysically enhanced human beings in this point in time (other than ZERO system). Newtypes and Coordinators are long gone and all that's left are normal humans. And with this new era comes a new alloy for the Gundams: Gundanium, as opposed to Gundarium used by most before AC. I think history repeats and changes direction AGAIN. This time, this forces humans to investigate their cultural---
@Allelujah121123 PART V -heritage. And so...FC was born. In the beginning of this era, corrupt organizations fought each other for global control. But then a compromise was reached, a Gundam Fight. This results in the creation of Mobile Fighters to replace Mobile Suits that were used for the majority of man's history. Unlike AC, FC mobile fighters were NOT built with Gundanium because it would've been expensive and rare. Not to mention the Gundams would be damaged nearly every day. They--
@Allelujah121123 PART VI -either used all the Gundanium up before FC or they decided to give up on it altogether. And eons later, alien technology emerged and worried the people of Earth. If such a technologically advanced race were to invade, they'd be defenseless. So they made the Turn A Gundam based off the Turn X that they found. But...they made the Turn A a mobile SUIT instead of a fighter because the Mobile Trace System was likely not compatible and was probably obsolete by this time.-
@Allelujah121123 PART VII -And so they scrapped that project and decided to stay with mobile suits. Afterwards two governments with one wielding Turn A and the other wielding Turn X waged war on one another and fought for complete control. As everyone knows, this ends with Turn A eliminating all technology with its signature "Moonlight Butterfly". This wiped out all colonies and technology from Earth to Jupiter (The Moon excluded). And the rest is history. Whadaya think?
@kevinlei92 Well, no sacrifice changes everything forever. They make large dents in history but the dents buff out eventually, so to speak, some quicker than others.
One more thing...that "epic fanwanking" comment was a compliment right? Does that mean you agree with my theory? I'm just not familiar with that term, therefore I couldn't really gauge your reply properly. :P
i do actually agree with mostly what you said, still i would LOVE to see how the black history happened animed, perhaps this time with a female pilot for turn A as tomino had hopped? anyways fanwanking, you should just check out the TVtropes page for that, i think you could access it via googling the term fanwanking (anno, the creator of evangelion apparently coined the term)
@kevinlei92 Fanwanking sounds a bit harsh of a term doesn't it? I looked it up. Yeah...that's kinda what I was doing but that word just seems like some sort of weird innuendo, doesn't it?
Anyways...what about you? Are there any parts of the timeline you would've arranged differently?
well, personally i dont care much about everything that happens until the creation of turn A, its how the turn A was used to bombard everything back to the stone ages that i really wana see
@TomDracoRyu sorry to tell you this, but according to a pic I found, that explains the relations, (00) Anno Domini and CE aren't related to these series'... other than those 2, I find this chart of events true enough.
C.C is a supposed to be the ending in which the U.C ended. The reason why turn a technology in the show is based off the 19th century is because all technology was wiped of earth forcing humans to start from scratch. What i dont get is why is gundam wing in the black history. It was from a different time line. This is just my opinion but i really did not think that they should of made a cosmic era. Has anyone not notice how flashy seed ms des is. and how garbage the story line is. That alone
I have seen the Diagrahm on the timelines...Basically you can add 00 in there too because if I use common sense the UC is AFTER AD (as stated in Gundam Unicorn)since 00 was made WAY after Turn A of course there will be no clips. To me 00 was not as advanced as the UC. And once you start mining the belt, you really dont need elevators I always looked at the After War timeline as something that happens hundreds of years AFTER the UC. Remember the UC is still not finished or written in stone yet
This scene would be cooler if loran was about to be defeated then all of the sudden the ghost of every gundam pilot in there respective gundams appear and help loran defeat the turn x.
@KingLazerman Is it really, its rather had to understand, Turn A is in a whole different time line, and yet they showed clips from U.C. 79, its just to confusing for me lol
@AngleFan45 Yeah, but word of Tomino says that no matter what timeline it is, it will always end in turn A. Even SEED, G, and 00. If you look closely, you can see some Wing in those recordings, and Marybell was shooting at Gundam X.
@KingLazerman Yeah i did see Wing, and all that. I can understan those, cause thier all in the Cosmic Era. But U.C. is a whole different thing. Like i said its very hard to grasp.
@AngleFan45 There's an official chart of all the time lines on the internet. It's just all of them are lines pointing to turn A. By the way, only SEED is in Cosmic Era, Wing is in After Colony, 00 is Anno Domini, G Gundam is Future Century, Gundam X is After War, and Turn A is Correct century. All the rest is Universal Century I believe. There is no relation bettween all those. Just warning you so you don't get flamed. People get so mad for some reason.
I havn't seen up this part yet but it seems to me that Gundam 00 came after this then came Gundam seed and Gundam Seed Destiny. That just want I think.
I think that it would hard to gauge how powerful any Seed and Seed Destiny MS are on their own considering the absurd amount of plot armor they and their pilots have protecting all of them.
Irregardless I really like the way Tomino made Turn A as "the end" to all UC.
I love that idea too. Its such a mystery though as who decided long ago in the UC that ''enough was enough'' and created the Turn A with the goal of wiping out all technology on the Earth. Heck, who the hell even piloted the Turn A to accomplish this will never be known. There are even theories bout the Turn X and A having been built outside of the solar system, meaning it aint necessarly humans who built them...
i mean the anime one, or basically the one without moonlightbuuterfly. and its nukes can be shot down and its i-field only stops minosky particles (spelling) and its nanomachines can be over powered, its not even designed by humans, reversed engineerded from turn x an alien mobile suit , and its an ugly ass siut
why would they make Turn a gundam, an ugly ass suit, the most powerful ever. I mean strike freedom should definitely be the strongest if it weren't for the moonlight butterfly
Turn A Gundam was made as the canon ending of all Gundam Universes, so of course it'd have to be the strongest. Also, when you say that the Strike Freedom would be more powerful if the Turn A didn't have the Moonlight Butterfly, do you mean Turn A as shown in the anime, or Turn A at full power? It still has the strongest I-field Barrier, regeneration with nano-machines, and it can tank nukes.
And personally, I think the Turn A looks awesome. I can see why others wouldn't like though.
it was meant to be an amusing ending canon, not actual one, and personally i cant stand this series, i just like the dark history and some aspects of the turn x and turn a
If anything to me the Turn A's head was the best choice cause If I saw the heads off all the main gundams this one would be the easiest to pick and identify.
they need to release the series here in america but then most people wont like it, i mean some of them like it but if the show was on tv some of the kids, teens and aldults will say what the hell whats up with the story and the mechs look but still T.A.G is a good show.
I agree with you. Turn A doesn't have the coolest appearance of all, but it is unique and did leave an impact.
I don't know about all of you, but I really believe all of Gundam from SEED or 00 will be forgotten after some-new-even-cooler-Gundam series created by Sunrise :))
Turn A is my first Gundam show, and it remains my favourite after watching all other gundam series. kudos to (especially) Yoshiyuki tomino and Yoko Kanno.
If you like this, you might wanna try Overman King Gainer.
u got a great point there.Turn A design suck for me but it definitely leave a deep impact to me.the normal looking design can be forgotten easily. i myself sometime forget the other gundams name but Turn A and its design stuck in my brain.Turn A is simply an unforgetable gundam for all true gundam fan, whether they are lover or even hater of the series.
The Turn A designs are "terrible" for a reason. As time passed, designers realized that function always wins over aesthetic appearance. As long as a machien functions correctly, there's little need to make it largely appealing to the eye.
I supsect this connects all Gundam series as they are looking at different realities. It makes more sense then it be different eras. The tech is just way to different. Plus I can think of at least one or two ways that Turn A Gundam would get defeated at the hands of other Gundams.
for real i mean without mb its nothing. and its i field barrier only stops U.C. beams not anyone else. and nuke can be shot down and nanomachines can be overed powered by attacks like god finger, full burst hi-mat, and twin buster rifle
wwait i dont get it? i thought from the info i read up on turn a gundam was that is was the future of the original time line? then why is wing EW part of their history if it was a different time line? or was it just them be a tad lazy and using it as filler?
i was looking into this too. apperently all of the Gundam time lines, besides the seed series, all conect to this one so my guess is that the time lines are different eras, but thats just my theory
turn a gundam was supposed to be the stopping point for all gundam series made before it. it tied them all up and gave the universal century a very strange ending.
and for anyone commenting on the 'wierd' mobile suit designs of turn a gundam: most of the mobile suits except the "kapool" and the "bonjornon" never appeared in a series. it was tomino's way of opening up a few possibilities for side stories between victory gundam, gundam wing, and g gundam.
I agree that they tied them all up, but each individual timeline does not necessarily have to be connected.
For example, Turn A Gundam could be the timeline in which everything is tied up, but each individual timeline may not be. Think about Super Robot Wars for example. Turn A is the Super Robot Wars timeline of Gundam timelines.
In otherwords, Turn A is the nexus of all Universes, but not it is not each individual universe.
@CptSlow6 actually, tomino wanted seed to be the sequal to Turn A, think of it as "the seeds of technological rebirth"
the same thing was suppose to happen with 00, but that got scrapped, or left on the shelf since AGE might infact be a tie in to the CE and AD being in the timeline
During the final two episodes of G Gundam several Gundams made cameos during the last battle (Including the Wing Gundam before Gundam Wing was released.) It's a long time joke amongst a lot of Gundam fans that none of the mobile suits did much other than act as a meat shield. :D
That was for cameo purposes. It did not impact the actual storyline of G Gundam, opposed to Turn A. This Dark History connects all of the Gundam series, save for Seed, but I never really considered Gundam Seed as an actual Gundam series. It was too shitty for my tastes.
It's the kind of suit that gives a BAD first impression because of its... unorthodox design, but as time goes on and you witness what it can do, it grows on you.
Heck, before seeing the Turn A series, I slowly grew to like it simply because of SRW Alpha Gaiden.
@AlteisenZeta I totally get what you're saying, but taking your comment aside answer me this please. I don't under people like (not you you) who want new and different and tired of the cliches, but when given it by someone, it's an unorthodox reject design???
Princess and Captain? There's no princess in the series, and the only captain I can think of, Harry Ord, looked nothing like anyone else. That said, if you're thinking of Queen Dianna Soreil and Kihel Heim, my guess is that it was a way of showing just how similar the Earthrace and Moonrace are.
the tv version's music is like...really orchestral and bombastic, while the movie version's music has this cool opera singer which sounds more epic, imo. even though both are really epic, ha
if it is a continuation of U.C then why are there no newtypes?

I havn't seen up this part yet but it seems to me that Gundam 00 came after this then came Gundam seed and Gundam Seed Destiny. That just want I think.
deathknelld 2 years ago
gundam 00 takes place in AD timeline, lol how can it possibly come after this.
gabe228 2 years ago
Yes it can cause if if think about it they could of gone back it to AD and the Cosmic era. But thats just the way I think.
deathknelld 2 years ago
I think that it would hard to gauge how powerful any Seed and Seed Destiny MS are on their own considering the absurd amount of plot armor they and their pilots have protecting all of them.
Irregardless I really like the way Tomino made Turn A as "the end" to all UC.
Geech47 2 years ago 3
I love that idea too. Its such a mystery though as who decided long ago in the UC that ''enough was enough'' and created the Turn A with the goal of wiping out all technology on the Earth. Heck, who the hell even piloted the Turn A to accomplish this will never be known. There are even theories bout the Turn X and A having been built outside of the solar system, meaning it aint necessarly humans who built them...
elvampe13 2 years ago
The Turn A was made for interstellar war.
AliveStorm93 2 years ago
seed can't compare in power to turn a or its gundam predecessors
gabe228 2 years ago 2
i mean the anime one, or basically the one without moonlightbuuterfly. and its nukes can be shot down and its i-field only stops minosky particles (spelling) and its nanomachines can be over powered, its not even designed by humans, reversed engineerded from turn x an alien mobile suit , and its an ugly ass siut
ambidextrousswordmen 2 years ago
why would they make Turn a gundam, an ugly ass suit, the most powerful ever. I mean strike freedom should definitely be the strongest if it weren't for the moonlight butterfly
ambidextrousswordmen 2 years ago
Turn A Gundam was made as the canon ending of all Gundam Universes, so of course it'd have to be the strongest. Also, when you say that the Strike Freedom would be more powerful if the Turn A didn't have the Moonlight Butterfly, do you mean Turn A as shown in the anime, or Turn A at full power? It still has the strongest I-field Barrier, regeneration with nano-machines, and it can tank nukes.
And personally, I think the Turn A looks awesome. I can see why others wouldn't like though.
AwesomeFish2021 2 years ago
scratch the last part of my second comment, i have seen a couple could pictures, like 3 or 4
ambidextrousswordmen 2 years ago
it was meant to be an amusing ending canon, not actual one, and personally i cant stand this series, i just like the dark history and some aspects of the turn x and turn a
ambidextrousswordmen 2 years ago
If anything to me the Turn A's head was the best choice cause If I saw the heads off all the main gundams this one would be the easiest to pick and identify.
TheRanglong 2 years ago
they need to release the series here in america but then most people wont like it, i mean some of them like it but if the show was on tv some of the kids, teens and aldults will say what the hell whats up with the story and the mechs look but still T.A.G is a good show.

Necrophobilus 2 years ago
u got a great point there.Turn A design suck for me but it definitely leave a deep impact to me.the normal looking design can be forgotten easily. i myself sometime forget the other gundams name but Turn A and its design stuck in my brain.Turn A is simply an unforgetable gundam for all true gundam fan, whether they are lover or even hater of the series.
ASBA1991 2 years ago 3
The Turn A designs are "terrible" for a reason. As time passed, designers realized that function always wins over aesthetic appearance. As long as a machien functions correctly, there's little need to make it largely appealing to the eye.
Daisagru 2 years ago 11
I supsect this connects all Gundam series as they are looking at different realities. It makes more sense then it be different eras. The tech is just way to different. Plus I can think of at least one or two ways that Turn A Gundam would get defeated at the hands of other Gundams.
Godzilla2000X 2 years ago
for real i mean without mb its nothing. and its i field barrier only stops U.C. beams not anyone else. and nuke can be shot down and nanomachines can be overed powered by attacks like god finger, full burst hi-mat, and twin buster rifle
ambidextrousswordmen 2 years ago
I think the Turn A is supposed to be a compilation of all the other Gundam-types or something..
StriderX4 2 years ago
wwait i dont get it? i thought from the info i read up on turn a gundam was that is was the future of the original time line? then why is wing EW part of their history if it was a different time line? or was it just them be a tad lazy and using it as filler?
grobmiller 2 years ago
i was looking into this too. apperently all of the Gundam time lines, besides the seed series, all conect to this one so my guess is that the time lines are different eras, but thats just my theory
pimpdaddywompa1 2 years ago
hmm you might have a point. maybe this is like at a juncture where the universes meet?
grobmiller 2 years ago
turn a gundam was supposed to be the stopping point for all gundam series made before it. it tied them all up and gave the universal century a very strange ending.
and for anyone commenting on the 'wierd' mobile suit designs of turn a gundam: most of the mobile suits except the "kapool" and the "bonjornon" never appeared in a series. it was tomino's way of opening up a few possibilities for side stories between victory gundam, gundam wing, and g gundam.
but they keep on making seed series..
CptSlow6 2 years ago 7
its ok, most good things eventually become milked for cash.
grobmiller 2 years ago
I always thought the CC was a "What IF' Future and not really consider it a ending point in any era.....
I always thought that AW would be a logical point following the UC timeline and than possibly CC
gamemaniac85 2 years ago
technically that is how it happened. the turn A and the turn X were created/found probably not long after the AW timeline.
CptSlow6 2 years ago
oh, and by universal century i mean everything up to that point.
CptSlow6 2 years ago
I agree that they tied them all up, but each individual timeline does not necessarily have to be connected.
For example, Turn A Gundam could be the timeline in which everything is tied up, but each individual timeline may not be. Think about Super Robot Wars for example. Turn A is the Super Robot Wars timeline of Gundam timelines.
In otherwords, Turn A is the nexus of all Universes, but not it is not each individual universe.
formula90II 2 years ago
@CptSlow6 actually, tomino wanted seed to be the sequal to Turn A, think of it as "the seeds of technological rebirth"
the same thing was suppose to happen with 00, but that got scrapped, or left on the shelf since AGE might infact be a tie in to the CE and AD being in the timeline

wwwingzerooo 3 years ago
What are you talking about? Crossbone Gundam is a manga sequel to F91.
countrybluegrass 3 years ago 2
During the final two episodes of G Gundam several Gundams made cameos during the last battle (Including the Wing Gundam before Gundam Wing was released.) It's a long time joke amongst a lot of Gundam fans that none of the mobile suits did much other than act as a meat shield. :D
Cilidar 3 years ago 4
That was for cameo purposes. It did not impact the actual storyline of G Gundam, opposed to Turn A. This Dark History connects all of the Gundam series, save for Seed, but I never really considered Gundam Seed as an actual Gundam series. It was too shitty for my tastes.
SB0083 2 years ago 4
I thought Tomino said that this would tie up ALL Gundam series, SEED and 00 included.
Which is weird because they didn't come out yet...
AMagicChicken 2 years ago
HOw was Tomino suppose to do that when TUrn A was written well before 00 or even the CE Timeline took place.....

Turn A, a Gundam reject? Sort of...
It's the kind of suit that gives a BAD first impression because of its... unorthodox design, but as time goes on and you witness what it can do, it grows on you.
Heck, before seeing the Turn A series, I slowly grew to like it simply because of SRW Alpha Gaiden.
AlteisenZeta 3 years ago 13
Yay I like it in @ gaiden, I wonder if it has new moves in SRW Z

@AlteisenZeta I totally get what you're saying, but taking your comment aside answer me this please. I don't under people like (not you you) who want new and different and tired of the cliches, but when given it by someone, it's an unorthodox reject design???

ShinHolyAyato 4 years ago
Princess and Captain? There's no princess in the series, and the only captain I can think of, Harry Ord, looked nothing like anyone else. That said, if you're thinking of Queen Dianna Soreil and Kihel Heim, my guess is that it was a way of showing just how similar the Earthrace and Moonrace are.
