It´s a great band and a great singer. Today is my hobby to discover unknown good bands from the 60s. Listen for example to The Misunderstood or maybe specially THE ZETTLERS. Check up their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". Increíblemente bien!!!

  • I wouldn't say the 60's was a great time to live through, but for the music during that time. It was worth it.

  • @not2shy2say

I would say the 60's was a fantastic time, but I lived in the West End of London. If you lived in a crap place, it was probably crap.

  • @ambertjeblue Yeah it was. I lived in North London and I was a kid. No fun unless you were a teenager or older and could get on a bus and go to where it was 'at'.

  • Timeless, one of my top ten songs of all time. Again, i wish i was born in that time, the drummer was gorgeous lol

  • @TheBassmaster1986 US Military Base in Germany on 25 April 1945. I don't think so

  • @donships jahahahaha

  • @TheBassmaster1986 Even if he was born on a military base, whatever country he was born in is his nationality. If my whole family was American as can be, but I was born in Canada, I would not be able to run for president because I would be canadian... and BTW I'm American. Fucking idiot

  • I heard that Paul Mc Cartney actually wrote this song to see if his compositions would actually be a hit if they wernt associated with the BEATLES !! Has anyone else ever heard this? Paul

  • @jenitleunit4 according to Wikipedia, this song was written by Michelle Grainger, Tony Hayes and Steve Wadey.

  • Actually written by 3 writers. To my knowledege not Paul McCartney.

New Club Remix might give a few clues?

  • @19811951

Theres actually a Vietnamese rendition of this song.

  • This is a original recording from 1966. My girl was crying when she heard that song, then. Maybe even now.

I left her fore another girl, maybe a mistake, i don`t really know?

However, that song is very cute and bring back memories all the time!

For everybody's information, I already played this song 3 times and i like it more and more!!!!!

  • When Germans and Spaniards get together, amazing things can happen.

  • germans spaniards and mexicans bro..!

  • @phileustace I agree with you; there is a special feeling between us.

    Greetings from Spain.

  • @phileustace

    The singer is American.

  • @TheBassmaster1986 Mike Kogel was born in Berlin 25 April 1945

  • @TheBassmaster1986 He was born in Germany and live must of his life in Spain, as usual ignorance reigns supreme in the USA.

  • A total classic.

  • This song is absoluty timeless good!

    M.

  • Está canción es cojonuda, aquí y en china

  • Always liked this song but thought it was a band from Cali. Spain? Jokes on me.

  • What a great song for a great old band! I love the sixties!☺♫

  • What's real music? WELL THIS SONG IS ONE EXAMPLE .. I wasn't even there in '66 (I'm juz 26) but play this loud in a club today AND I BET PPL WILL DANCE LIKE CRAZY!

  • Now I know its name.

  • Very good ... very nice song .. of the sixties ! for the 1st time in decades the Spanish placed a band on the 1st place of the billboard top ten hits in London ... awesome .. !

  • This is a Spanish group but the singer is German is original name is Michael Volker Kogel, after leaving this group he changes his name to Mike Kennedy

  • I <3 1966

  • This is a great and memorable song. I had no idea that this group was from Spain!!! I always sthought they were British invasion.

  • A well crafted song, its producers were clearly inspired by the Motown sound (reminiscent of The Four Tops' "I Can't Help Myself" and Stevie Wonder's "Up-Tight"), paying extra attention to the brass section throughout the song--making sure it would add "punch" to the already pounding sound of the band. It is a song whose power continues to impress. Most of the impact is created by introducing the tune and repeating it with an increasing number of instruments, as erscott13 put it so well. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the compliment! Elisa

  • @diegosjara Ya, Great comment. I ,always thought it was a female Black lady singing this ,way back then maybe 67-68..Still a great Tune, that holds up better than most today,...and these dudes were damn good .

  • Top 60 lata HIPPIE NO MORE pozdrawiam !!!

  • I love this song great beat!!

  • @kikiti9 ... AND Bass ... beat and bass make this song ... although they also run the bass into the treble on guitar for much of the song as well.

  • Love the look on the faces of the band members when they see themselves on the studio monitors. Probably none had ever been on TV before.

  • @RonBeam

in which moment they see themselves on the monitors? i don't watch any monitor :S

  • @4l3x4hdr0 it's in the beginning when the camera goes to each member of the band. They smile when they see that the camera is on them. You can't see any monitor.

  • @RonBeam it seems like only the drummer is unfazed, funny.

  • sta cancion esta bien padre es la mejor de los clasicos si asi se puede llamar i love this song

  • So cool.

  • This is one extremely well-produced pop song. I love especially the way a single instrument introduces a tune and one-by-one they all follow the same melody until he starts singing.

  • ?! Until now I've always thought it was a black woman singing this. Still a great voice and catchy tune though.

  • A Great Favourite of mine and a great group love Shirlsxx

  • a great song I used to hear on voice of america on the hit parade when I was a teenager, clean sound, ,a memorable song and a pure gold.

  • clasica de clasicas.... muy buena

  • yes think motown. but no. motown almost every case --the bass line goes down.. uh oh. i thought barrio? . the bass line goes up, up up."up cat up" as george would say. it was baroque.

  • who ever put a thumb down to my comment on how i could lick and eat this song is a dobber .... it means im loving it ya mad belter anyway ... you prob have not the 1st clue about propa music ya bell -end . great upload 1st again man fav it and i have it on every weekend before i go out :) the bass player looks like andy whorole dont ya think ? big fat chunky coke nose

  • All these years I thought this was either a Motown band or one of the bands like Hermans Hermits or the Hollies. Wow, what a surprise they are from Spain. Fantastic song. Simple and effective. Definitely will get people moving.

  • You and me both...like you I thought they were a Motown or English band!

    I also stand corrected.

  • Me gusta......

  • I always wondered whether they chose that title because it's a "black" type of song.

  • how much I loved this song! - I still love it!

  • Thanks DRUMMERxGURU for the share - An oldie but a Classic - Love it.

  • i could just eat and lick this song all-over

  • Classic oldie , one of my favs :)

  • Oh, Yes do I remember this song. I was in Recon School at Ft Knox Kentucky in 1966 and when I here this song, I go back in my mind to those days...

  • Exellent video!!!
