  • another mugen clasic...

  • i havent visted your channel in years after seeing the nebula grey guide and now i see you have touhou up, got the latest ones like ten desires? hisouten?

  • @omegazeroINFI

I got the demo for Ten Desires when it came out, but circumstances are keeping me from getting the full version... or anything else for that matter.

  • @Kayorei what are the circumstances? i mean i managed to gather all the games from 1-13 though i havent really dedicated any time to playing them though.

  • @omegazeroINFI

Bunch of different things. Money being one of the big ones. That and yet another computer problem. I'll probably wind up detailing it in a video. I only just regained access to any computer at all, as it stands.

  • I suddenly miss playing Hisoutensouku... (;A;)

  • Huh. Didn't peg you as a fighting game player, really.

Patchouli sounds just right for you, though :p

  • Patchouli reminds me of Yue from "Negima!" with the way her hair is and blank expression. x3

  • I don't know what the game is SUPPOSEd to look like so the frame thing doesn't bug me. What game is this and whatsit cost?

  • @Predhead

This is Touhou 7.5, Immaterial and Missing Power. It's a PC game, but I don't know how much it's going for right now. Touhou Wiki does have links to places where you can check.

  • lol, Yeah, I missed unlocking Yuyuko myself. I only played through the story with Marisa, so that might be why. I suggest playing through with Sakuya or something, and you'll get Yuyuko. I've pretty much settled on using Marisa as a main when I play for both 7.5 and 12.3.

  • Remi isn't exactly an easy character to play against, since she's bloody fast and has a weird dash. She's an excellent melee character, though, which gave Ral a decent advantage over the rather slow and projectile-obsessive Patchy.

  • Could someone explain to me what the little square things flying around whenever people do? Keeping in mind I have only rudimentary knowledge of touhou and fighting games in general. Also I'm assuming spell set and spell break are "round breaks" so to speak.

  • @Seriyu32

The little blue (and occasionally green) tabs that appear sometimes when a player gets hit/knocked down? Those are point items and bombs, respectively. I think every several point items yields a bomb, which is a limited-use multi-purpose ability common to everyone. Ral uses one at around 4:46 in the video.

  • @Kayorei Huh, can't believe I missed the score counter the entire time. The bomb implementation is neat though.

  • @Seriyu32 Well, I think it's a little odd to call them rounds. It's like this, both sides choose 2 spell cards for a battle, so that's setting a spell card. Breaking a spell card (I don't remember anywhere else hearing that term...) seems to me like you've defeated that card. Errr, I hope this makes sense, lol.

  • @seventhfonist425 So, for instance, you pick x spell card for the first round, and y spell card for the second round, and when x is beaten, you can't use x spell card anymore, but can still use y. Until y is beaten, then you're out of spell cards and the next "knockout" will beat you?

  • @Seriyu32 Yeah. When people battle in Touhou, they're called "Spell Card Duels" The one who loses all their cards is the loser. A "knock out" in this game, is when you've lost at the duel you just had, meaning you've lost x card. Though, I've read, that the winner of a duel is the one who's "the most beautiful." But since this is a fighting game, that's obviously not the case here. Also, don't feel bad for not noticing the score counter. ._. I had no idea it was there until you'd pointed it out.

  • @seventhfonist425 Ahhhh, I see, that's actually a pretty neat mechanic. And I could see it working outside a touhou game to boot, unlike the bomb thing.

  • @Seriyu32 Actually, as neat as it is, this exact system doesn't return. In games 10.5 (Scarlet Weather Rhapsody) and 12.3 (Unthinkable Natural Law), when you start and end a match, the terms are as almost all fighting games. It starts off with a "Round 1 - Start!" and eventually ends with a "Knock out!" Though, you still get to use spell cards in battle, they're pretty much just super moves in those 2 games.

  • @seventhfonist425 Huh, that's a pity. Maybe it has some kind of issue with fighting game balance or somethin, I don't play them much.
