  • Liu HaiLong the best ! Sanda better than Muay Thai

  • A chinese guy is a bit better than a swimming team

  • Liu Hailong dodges like the devil :)

  • more like wrestling, not muay thai. If its real muay thai fighter, the red one is dead in the second he grad the leg

  • Sanda or San Shou as it is also called is essential MMA...it is a combination of kickboxing, boxing, wrestling and Grappling...So Therefore is virtually MMA without the submissions...Stylistically speaking will always give a traditional striker a run for his money...All he did was clinch and trip him...If it was pure striking, my moneys is on the Muay Thai fighter 9 times out of 10...My Opinion

  • the chinese guy didnt want to hurt the thai guy at the end becasue he got injury with his eyes.

  • Why do people keep whining that this is unfair to the thai? The chinese has 5 seconds to throw during clinch, just like the thai has 5 seconds to knee. If the chinese could throw in time, I don't see why the thai couldn't knee in time. Look at 6:17. The chinese kneed the thai guy lightly. The thai guy definitely had ample time to knee.

Also, the thai simply missed all his kicks cos sanda guy dodged well. Thai left himself wide open many times after launching a kick.

  • Sanda is tailored for the Chinese people to watch. Sanda boxer can score by wrestling down the guy to the floor and it stops there. But the opponent can't use elbow? Wtf?

  • @csgwee ya why man? they only can win by score not brutal striking

  • @Sicilian94 R You know Sanda?

  • แม่งได้ใจสัด ทุ่มเอา

  • 0:53 great!!

I practice Muay Thai, I think it's very effective, but after watching this video I think the sanda is much

  • liu hailong was about to get his cocky chinese butt kicked towards the end of this match by a scrawny-looking old dude, yet you all give him props??

if the match was allowed to go on, he would have regretted his asinine behavior in the first few rounds

  • punch & kick to the opponent's body or leg get 1 point...to the face or head get 2 points...throw & takedown get 3 points! both fall down no point...what will you do if going to score point?

  • @youwlleetube if they both fall the one who falls last gets one point.

  • You know how they say when you start out doing an art, you must keep strict form or you'l never get it right?Yeah, therz mo muay thai in this ring ..... thats san-shou vs san-shou(in thai shorts) .... his form, his stance, his delivery ..... NOT MUAY THAI .....

  • I dont know much about this, but looks to me that the chinese guy was just trying to go for the clinch and throw the whole fight, is that for points or anything??

  • @Azr4el yea dats why they win coz of pointrs

  • i love how quite those idiot fans get when the other fight the thai ko their fighters

  • @powerofthroughts depend on the bias judges there r lots of fight between thai and chinese that the thai clearly win but the judges give it to the chinese. the thais only win by ko thats how they can win against sanda which is bs

  • cool video!love that slam about 2:45 in

  • cool video!

  • wtf's up with the slams?

  • these CHINKs would never fight outside of China!!!

  • @enaronch

Go to fuck ur mum if u dont know martial art at all. cao ni ma.

  • @bluesky605 heilong is just good, but if you compared to the majority of useless sanda fighters. it is no way as good as MT. MT has elbows and knees!

  • @TheHuiwen

I can agree with you to some extent. I also criticize some techniques used in sanda. That's all because the Rule of sanda about how to get Point ! For example, catch opponent's leg, turn and downward ur body to take him down. You will get Two Points. However, ur opponents did not get hurt at all. In addition, because of the rule, if your hands also touch the ground, you cant get point. This makes figher feel worried to make some deadly throw. I think the sanda rule in the US

  • @TheHuiwen

The sanda rule in the US is bit different. You must know Cung le, he is a Sanda figher in the US, his throwing skills are deadly and can hurt the opponent a lot. Even his hands touched ground, he still can get point. This is different from China sanda rule. I hope the rule in China sanda stage can adjust a bit, so the fighters can use their skills better and the fighting match will be more exciting.

  • @bluesky605 yup cung le is veryh good. but he trained in vivonam which uses whole body movements. just like MT. like a spinning top

  • @TheHuiwen

I know the power of elbows and knees, I have been training MT as well. However, every technique has advantages and disadvantages. Most time elbows and knees can only be applied when clinch. However, the experienced fighters will try to keep a good distance and knows how to avoid the elbow and knee attack. E and K are hard weapon, but Martial art is not only about Hardness, but also softness. The throwing techs of sanda make MT fighters feel difficult to throw E and K. When clinch

  • @bluesky605 elbows and knee can be used in alot of ways not just clinch.and bjj is not a learning art/soft but i like it lol. judo is soft to me. i strted with judo

  • @TheHuiwen

They got throwed away before use elbow and knee. What I want to say is MT is kind of hard martial art, it's like a steel stick, hit straight, hard and fast. This is its advantage but disadvantage as well. Escpeically when it meets some very soft martial art, like BJJ. A pure MT fighter is difficult to win a pure BJJ fighter. The MT figher will be taken down and submitted. In this case, Soft wins Hard. Isanda is a very good style and has more skills than MT, but should be better

  • @bluesky605 if i'm not mistaken elbows and knees are not part of this rules of engagement. thats y the MT fighter looks out of place. a boxer would have done better. MT without knees and elbows = aerobics kick n box

  • @TheHuiwen

They can use elbow in this engagement. As you can see, they both wear pads on their elbows, but knee is banned. Cung le is South vietnamese American, He trained in the US, not vietnam, and he was trained by chinese sanshou coach.

  • @TheHuiwen

I had a mistake, Knee is also allowed. Check some videos on youtube: Liu Hailong vs Kriengkrai part 3

Sanda vs Muay Thai: Bao Li Gao vs Sitichok

Knees and elbows are used . Therefore, many misundersanding of fight between MT and SD.

  • @TheHuiwen

Even in Sanda fight between chinese, knee is also allowed. which means by sanda rule, knee is also allowed.

    2002 SandaWang Match - Wang Tao vs Baoligao (1rd - 3rd)

  • @TheHuiwen

    umm kick boxing? lol

  • @enaronch These "chinks" are already outside of China/the fighting style. You ever heard of Cung Lee in MMA or Strikeforce? Did you know he uses Sanda, or Sanshou as well as wrestling?

  • 柳海龙体力差太远。

  • MAMMA MIA CHIST E' NU MOSTR!

  • you will never see this kind of match in thailand :P

  • you can grapple and take people down in thai matches, but I don't think you get any points or advantage for it, so they just strike from the clinch

  • Sorry but sanda pwns muay thai. even with no padding. Sanda got takedowns and sorry if ur dumb but takedowns are BIG advantage in a fight and muay thai don't give a fuck about takedowns

  • damn people here havent see real kung fu yet bare hands . cung le is a sanda fighter and he DESTROY SO MANY MUAY THAI FIGHTER

  • How can this be fair?

Elbow pads were on. Clinch time is shorter than standard Muay Thai match.

    And Sanda can throw.

    WTH

  • @753159258ab

why will a CHN wanna fighte when he wanna play not fair. every one just look at how he fighte. like a girl. lols, and he SUX.!!!!!

  • @DeanDuty

    Who doesn't play fair?

    hahaha

  • มวยไทยบ้าอะไรจับทุ่มได้

  • I love to see them fight without any protection. Bare hands, knees and elbow. The match would look a lot different :D

  • yeah, a standard muay thai match. with no elbows lol

if elbows were allowed, this match would have been very different.

  • @marimusicaux Elbows are allowed, which is why they are wearing elbow pads.

  • Elbows were allowed. Elbows are overrated IMO.

  • If you haven't noticed, this is not a muay thai match. This is similiar to MMA match.

  • @Sicilian49 it's both Muay thai and Sanda (Sanda allows Throws/takedowns)

  • @Sicilian49 It´s not a MMA match. It´s a SANDA match. sanda is like that. If it would be a MMA match the major part of the match would be on the ground..

  • @Sicilian49 yes, and keanorrasing has obviously never had a training for grappling, not even a basic one.

  • @Sicilian49 it is sanshou(sanda)match

  • Comment removed

  • @TAC412 knees are allowed dumbass

  • @wiredtoawall Dont be retarded moron, 3 sec clinch! Dont bullshit with me stupdi fuck lol

  • @wiredtoawall Ok, How about, the rules stated that throwings were allowed, but no grabbing the leg nor the body, how about this? Of course I could say the same shit that "throwing" was allowed, but you cant do it can you?

  • @wiredtoawall yeah allow 1 times then the ref break them off would like to see unlimited knee and elbow on the head while sanda try to grab muay thai fighter

    1 word disaster

  • @thatsanai i love u for saying those stuff , coz muay thai cannot be fought in rules, its an animal brutal style ! woot Q!!!

  • @Sicilian49 similar to mma my ass in mma u can use elbow knee clinch and many more

this is just fagy fight and this is not mma its sanda rules all the way lets allow thai fighter to use thai rules and u will see which is brutall and story will remind old times when all those kung fu master got knock out from showing iron palm and there shit stuff understood if u go low like this to grab the legs on thai rules u r already knock out by knee or elbow see malaipet vs some white guys on mma fight

  • @thatsanai I AM TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU THATSANAI

  • @thatsanai

If you checked the description elbows and knees are allowed...this is just a bad muay thai fighter against a good san da fighter. As for your opinion of kung fu, you obviously know nothing because you don't even call the art by its real name. I'll leave it at that.

  • @Jaygenius NO U KNOW NOTHING THIS IS SANDA RULES I BELIEVE THAT THIS GUY WOULD TAKE LIU HAILONG EASY IF THIS WHERE THAI RULES CUZ I SEE ALOT OF OPEN SPOT FROM LIU THE GUY WHO DO MUAY THAI IS UNKNOWN U KNOW ON THAI RULES THEY ALLOW ELBOW WITH NO PAD AND CLINCH WITHOUT STOP THE VIDEO I SEE WHEN THEY TRY TO KNEE THEY ALLOW 1 TIMES THEN THEY SPLIT IT UP

DANGER ZONE ON THAI RULES NEVER TRY TO GRAB THE LEGS U CAN GET KO' FROM ELBOW BACK OF THE HEAD AND KNEE ON THE FACE OR BOTH

  • @thatsanai Read the description. It says unified rules, therefore everything is allowed. Also, learn how to spell and stop abusing the caps lock key.

  • @Jaygenius u know i learn 3 language right know so i try my best on it but about the rules is it still sanda rules i dont have to search for it cuz it already show what they can do they allow 1 or 2 knee then ref stop it on the video on thai rules they knee unlimited and look again on video u will see the muay thai guy was gonna use elbow on the back of the neck thai dont wear any pad to fight some1 just beginner would wear it for training

AND CHEERS FOR NEW YEARS PEACE!

  • @thatsanai im trying to say that u are correct and muay thai is deadly ,more deadly than kung fu if theres no rule, after all sanda is about points so thats why the y always do the throws to the muay thai guys,if theres no rule i bet the muay thai guy will kill the sanda guy, basically they cant really fight, they only know how to throw people,do dat in a real fight and they will end up dead. MUAY THAI FOR LIFE !

  • @MechPhantom

I think the purpose of every martial art is to be deadly... I really doubt the Muay Thai guy could do much since it seems the Sanda guy is quite good at the taking the game to the ground. Not just once did he throw him down, so I would say you lost your bet.

  • @VaizardDaishi yea true, dats y i dont like sanda matches much, coz they are only good at takedowns and throws,i dont relly see them much of a striker, coz they dotn tirke dat much, maybe coz muay thai guys dont know how to defend against those takedowns. But yea for me if it was not pointfighting rules ,muay thai guy will be dominating coz dats wat they only do,strike till hes down. Byut yea props to the sanda guy,in terms of point he win of course, but if theres no rule i bet MT OWNS !

  • @MechPhantom I think the MT guy is just not that good. You're right about Sanda being a sport and not a miartial art and the MT guy would be better on a street fight, but you seem to know nothing about kung fu. There are more than 300 martial arts in china and they're all called kung fu. So you may say(and you'd be wrong) that MT is more deadly than Hung Gar, but all martial arts are deadly, that's what they where made for.

  • @thatsanai after all we know that the kung fu master got knocked out by a muay thai fighter aye?

  • @MechPhantom what r u trying to say or mean?

  • @Sicilian49 it´s a Sanda match , not MMA and not even similiar because there is no groundgame.

  • @Sicilian49

Your notice is wrong buddy, im sorry.

The guy in red is a Sanda-Boxer, Sanda is from Shaolin Kung Fu maybe you will to confuse it.

    Because it is similiar.

  • @Sicilian49 No. It has mixed rules with everything allowed in Muay Thai and everything allowed in San Shou. It's equal to both.

  • sanda fighters use elbows and knees to depending on where it derives from. i train baji chuan and baji is very famous for its power, elbow, and knees. some sanda fighters use baji

  • more respect to thail =) throw are so gay

  • @WongZhenPeng go check out MMA and K1 Much of the matches are trying to throw/pin opponent onto the mat.

  • and who about brazilian jiu jitsu=)?

  • Watch cung le in strikeforce mma. Then tell me that sanshou strikes are inferior lol. I practice Muay Thai and Sanshou and sanshou is by far more advanced. Sanshou fighters also elbow and knee at close range, depending on what style of kung fu the sanshou is derived from. lmao. Although Muay Thai is awesome and devestating (hence why i do it), the techniques leave you too open if you miss, check out the kick at 1:38. and elbows where allowed in this fight, just not to the spine (what happened):P

  • think in kickboxing match throws are gay might at well go to UFC or a judo match...another thing that make it more gay,why wear elbow pads might as well use knee pads.

i think they put the elbow pads to take the disadvantage to the muay thai fighter.

  • The sanshou guys have quite inferior striking to the muay thai guys, so they turn it into a judo/wrestling match which the thai boxers are ill prepared for.

  • sanshou got only throws and trips that all, ppss inferior striking why then he didn't use them? that sound like b/s

the Thai fighter are known to throw devastating close striking but all that taken away with the sanshou throwing him.

  • I said the sanshou fighers turn it into a wrestling match, basically, they throw them...

  • Oh yea i see i read it fast , my bad but still tho this fight is bull shit they constricting the muay thai not to throw elbow and knees something is wrong with this fight.

look here they stop him on elbow 4:00

  • I feel so sorry for Robert...

  • thai boxer on the ground = RIP

  • somebody think throw is useless,i dont think so,if throw thai guy in the hard floor,he will go to hosptial and need a plastic operation for his face.

  • 0:52 if it where allowed RIP chinese

  • if it was a hard floor... RIP the other guy

  • I think sanda is one of the funnest fighting styles to watch. I wish more fighters x trained in it instead of the cookie cutter muay thai and bjj. Moar MMA! Sanda would be a great combo to combine with a strong ground technique.

  • i guess the muay thai guy needs more training...

  • Wow, the Thai guy got RAPED. It seems he has no training in grappling though.

  • i dont' think muay thai is based on grappling

  • haha ,even chinese not scare of muaythai, u know why ! becaus they know original boxing from Khmerempire!! do u understand thai ?? nowadays everyone know you just a copy !!!

  • wtf i got no idea what your talking about....

as far as im concerned i know your a good fighter when i hear lumpinee champion....

however no such famous place in cambodia

you know we have a saying in the west, patriotism is the last resort of the scoundrel

  • boring and Robert Kaenorrasing have a bad muay thai staly because not using hand and the right leg....very very bad !!!

  • 他奶奶的,不知台不乱叫什么,

  • 我听到有人说: 不要打了不要打了

    :)

  • liu Hailong is indeed a world class fighter...One of the most decorated fighters in China....Nokalite, you are disinformed or talking rubbish...Of course "only by the hands of men and men can only represent themselves, not styles" it is very true...

  • B-O-R-I-N-G....

  • it would suck to fight in china...

  • seriously, sanda owns muay thai

  • i agree with nakorn... this freaken pisses me off.. and liu hai long is supposed to be a fighting star back in China... seriously i'm chinese and this disgusts me. liu hai long is not even a world class fighter

  • In this rule .But Muay Thai have far more success in boxing kickboxing K1 and MMA. For fair both fighter should allow to fight with everything they allow in both Sanda and Muay Thai .Just lobg clinch and elbow with no pad.

  • Muay Thai has more success? Only by the hands of men and men can only represent themselves, not styles.

  • MT have a lot more people who pracctice it than sanda does. Therefore you cant compare the success of the sports very well. Doing that would be like compareing the number of thai gold medals in the olympics compared to chinas and comming to the conclusion that chinese people are more athletic than thais. However i would like to se these two fighting in mma rather than these rules.

  • I understand your point jogra028.But in the matter of fact Muay Thai is popular because they success on MMA and K1 before we have MMA and K1 only few people outside Thailand know Muay Thai.

  • @nosta3824382 exactly

  • the thai is so powerless,

  • they thai fighters they are having go against him suck!!!!!!! i don't understand what's going on... soo many opportunities they had to do stuff and they didn't so many take downs should have never have happened... :'(

i take muay thai and have been for 11 years... that was a sad display :'(

  • only cuz he new. i am 15 and i am better than him! san da is also good

  • damn, those slams hurt a lot.

  • sanshou is kool

  • 不要到youtube搜尋latulatuka

    不要到youtube搜尋latulatuka

DO NOT search latualatuka in youtube.

  • Ma quello bianco è un sacco mobile? cmq W la Muay Thai!!!!

  • hahaha...why does the red guy (liu) alway want to throw the thai guy outside? XDDD

  • by the way, the red is pwning, and even though he's a bit bigger and heavier, fastness doesn't have anything to do with weight. And the difference between skill is too big to be due to weight only. Red pwns :D

  • so ummm... which colour is whom?

  • Can someone point the way to fight between Sanda and Muay Thai with Thai rules?

  • I just want to see Hailong last in a real match-up against Buakaw Por Pramuk who's probably 10kg lighter now...Buakaw would break him.

  • Hmm, seems that almost always when China and Thailand have these challenge matches, Chinese win by points from throwing, many of which are simply falling down with their opponent. When the Thais win, it's often by knockout or TKO. Interesting...

  • Interesting indeed...looks like the Chinese guy is tooling the Thai guy regardless of whether or not he's throwing him or not. I'm very interested in seeing the fights you mentioned though where the Chinese guys are only winning by throwing and Thai guys winning by KO or TKO.

Is it very much like this fight? Where the Chinese guy is outstriking the Thai fighter and body slamming him out of the ring and on to the mat while "falling on top of him"?

  • Name some fights then pal, I'm not even asking for a video. If you're gonna throw it out there at least back it up instead of sounding bitter.

Just take a look at the Thai fighter's face, he's got cuts and bruises left and right. Are you gonna sit there and tell me that the body slams did that? Hell no, the San Shou fighter had an unscathed face.

Clearly, he was getting the better of the striking exchanges, whether you'd like to admit it or not.

  • I'm not taking anything away from Liu Hailong, he's the best Sanshou fighter there is.

    Examples:

Buakaw vs Sun Tao, Sun Tao was DOWNED with a great liver punch. Buakaw's striking was FAR superior.

Lin Jianshen vs Pajunsuk. This fight is pretty much textbook Muay Thai striking, while the Chinese tries to throw.

I don't know why you're so surprised. Muay Thai reins supreme in K1 and MMA...because the striking is far more fleshed out than Sanshou, which relies more on THROWS.

  • It's not that Sanshou relies more on throws, its just that the fighters are allowed to use them and do so alot.

  • they dun focus primarily on throws the thai fighter does hsi strike it failed to hit now this is the perfect time to counter attack with a throw r u saying u will let the oppertunity pass

  • yea cuz that thai fighter wasnt all that great. put em up against buakaw. then lets debate.

  • classic type of take down...even by wrestling standards liu took him down with full control. not simply "falling down" -__-

  • I'm not saying the takedowns didn't work for bringing him down, I'm just annoyed that they don't attempt any fight ending throws. At least in MMA they finish them off once they get to the ground. If I want to see two guys trying to throw each other, I'll watch Sambo or Judo.

  • yea this is a ring sport so u cant do alot of things in the street if u take down sum1 ur allowed to kick n stomp him while hes down

  • Thai sucks

  • Robert Kaenorrasing (Jockey Gym) the one in the red bull shorts was one of thailand's best Muay Thai fighters, he took this fight even though Liu Hailong outweighed him by 45lbs! This is what the chinese promoters were doing to make their fighters look much better to the viewing audience, had they matched Somphet with any one his weight class, somphet would have destroyed them!!

  • Quit whining. Before Liu actally fight with Somphet, do not make any stupid predictions. I am sure that Robert Kaenorrasing thought he could destroy Liu also before he stepped into the ring. What a joke!

The fight I really want to see is Liu Hailong vs. Cung Ly. I don't even know who the hell Somphet is.

  • LOL...right thats why sanda fighters have won in muay thai rules as well - quit being biased

  • Full Sanda Rules VS Full MuayThai Rules.

Every Sanda gonna Die in 2 second.

This Fight : Sanda Weight 75-78 Kg. but MuayThai only 61-63 Kg and He is very OLD.

The Rules is Sanda Rules !!!

Why chinese people they happy to do like that ???

    It's NOT a REAL VICTORY !!

  • I believe Liu Hailong is a very strong fighter. BUT he is not trained in any particular form. hence he uses Sanshou. From looking at the videos only, my conclusion is he wins by points (and throws) but the damage caused may not be as server as Muay Thai. Please refer to Wikipedia for more information on Sanshou/Sanda

Regardless, both are very strong fighters.

  • That's a funny comment. Isn't Sanshou one of the forms in martial arts?

Check out this more dramatic version of Sanshou fighting

    q1IdycPEufM

  • no. Sanshou is not a "martial art". It's like sanda you just have to tweek the rules a bit. Calling Sanshou a martial art is like calling UFC a martial art, or kick boxing. Any one from any training back ground can do it, you just better be prepared.

  • yeah? I would like to know how you gonna feel if you got thrown on a solid ground

  • mas choto q las peleas de cali

  • wonderfu.seems thie video's commentary is very stupi

  • liu hailong better be fighting art of war MMA-china

  • basic wushu moves teach breaking of elbows and knees, and going for nerve points to stun the person

u aren't allowed to use these in sparring of any sort, so don't talk about real world

so enough about crippling alright, unless one of us is extremely well versed in both styles mentioned, i doubt any of us would know the true extent of crippling of both sides well enough to do a comparison. so shush

  • jsooi - you ignorant fuctard

Both MT and Sanda rules were accomodated for the other. Sanda doesn't allow elbows or knees, yet it was accomodated. Sanda got to keep its 4sec clinch rules. Sanda = realistic combat; in a real fight, who ever gets the takedown basically wins. MT is sux and is past its prime

  • why not just go find a sport that has take downs and let the sanshou fighter try his moves! like i said sanda was created by PRC and rules just seems to go along. Anything created by the communist are a nonsence. wushu is a good example of ballet gone bad!

  • My Lord you're an idiot. Please stop talking.

  • rofl jsoois account got closed

  • wushu were created by the communist ? please get educated, communism don't even exist when wushu have been created.

  • You're joking right? The rules of this bout was changed so Muay Thai elbows and knees are allowed. If anything, it puts the Sanshou fighters at a disadvantage. Thank you for demonstrating your knowledge.

  • in the real world? If it was the real world then they can do takedowns, which they are great at. They can also do kicks and punches, which they are great at. In the real world, they would be great...dumbass
