NumaEntertainment - Better detection rates. Although the free versions have no realtime monitoring Spyware Doctor has limited realtime monitoring, Web of Trust addon warns of dangerous sites and using a Hosts file or Spybot S&D will block many dangerous sites and active X controls. Threatfire also offers good protection and runs alongside your existing antivirus :-)
NumaEntertainment - Spyware Doctor does offer limited realtime prrotection and is very popular. There really are many better alternatives to Lavasoft. I test each one that I make a video or write about and finding out which work better. AdAware was a class leader, but competition is stronger now and it is being left behind :-)
oh wow umm lets see i have windows vista i think its a 32 bit. some of my problems is when i turn it on it says windows has encountered a critical error and will restart in a minuet then shuts off and keeps doing the same thing over and over. my friend turned me to windows 7 and told me it was amazing i might install it but a reinstall vistas disc would still be really nice to have.
ssXgeneral - Many users are turning off the Ad-Watch feature because of the resource usage, having said that, adaware is losing the battle as others are performing better.
Anniversary Edition is better it takes 74% less memory and other things i saw about it on page talking about Anniversary Edition on lavasoft's website
is it just a temp version till they finish 2009? or thats really the finish of 2009 if its the finish wow thats just really ignorent! rather have 2008 xD
dinnnnm - Apparently the AE version is the 2009 version, and to be honest they are losing ground with this one. 2008 was far better and AE is not an improvement but a step backwards. This has also been discussed in many forums where common agreement is that it is far less effective than many of the competitors who are fast gaining attention for reliability.
Parilblade001 - I think they lost the plot with this version. To be honest, Superantispyware and Malwarebytes both beat it hands down, lighter on resources and better detection.
if anyone finds a serial key for this plzzz send it my way

NumaEntertainment - You would be better off with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware or Superantispyware :-)

dinnnnm 3 years ago
dinnnnm - The Anniversary Edition IS the 2009 version....does not perform as well as other antimalware products which have more features.

cotojo1253 - Does it matter if it's a Pro version or Plus version? Because I have the Pro version.
n310ea 3 years ago
cotojo1253 - I went to renew my subsciption of my Pro at Lavasoft and it gave me the Pro Anniversary Edition automatically.
n310ea 3 years ago
n310ea - Unfortunately they have users over a barrel on this as renewals for any paid version will automatically be upgraded to the AE version.
If they weren't losing ground it wouldn't be so bad, but Super and MBAM offer paid versions which still out-perform AdAwareAE.
