Good job by caging and moving the ducks, although I would do it much sooner. My neighbor did not do this and a few years later there were so many ducks in his backyard that many of our neighbors complained to the city about it.
i had ducks and when i first hatched them, they took over the spare 3x3 foot shower in the basement. when they were little i only had to change it once a day, once every 2days if i was lucky. but as they grew older even taking them outside for hours at a time i still ad to change the shower 2 sometimes 3 times a day. i know how you feel
Nice video by any measure... from the editing to the soundtrack to the ducklings themselves ! They were so lucky to have chanced upon a house where the people are nice and friendly, the kind we all should be proud of. Congratulations and thanks, for the good deed and for the video too !
Wonderful job with the editing..i thought i was watching a movie. Abosolutely LOVED the speedboat scenes. The underwater shots of the babies swimming was too cute! Your parrot is so friendly, what with getting along with the ducks. I'm definitely sharing this! thumbs up!
Please remember wild Mallard ducks are PROTECTED under Federal Law (Migatory Bird Treaty Act of 1918 as amended). Thank you for advising us on how you violated the law and harmed the babies in the process. You can't touch the mom or the eggs per Federal Law if its a wild Mallard duck. Call your local wildlife department and explain the situation and they will get experts involved so as not to harm the ducklings (not chicks).
I loved your video. You captured their personalities. Its nice your were able to take them to the pond so it has a happy ending. Did they come back? We've had a family of ducks returning to our pool for the past ten years. I wrote a children's book about it called Ducks in my Pool and put it on UTUBE.

My interest is in mother ducks' behavior. To test whether or not a mother duck has true love: (1) put her into a dangerous situation (e.g. stoning her) and force her to fly away (2) physically abuse her baby ducks (e.g. break their legs, tear off two little wings) so that they keep chirping and crawling (3) stand beside these baby ducks (4) see whether the mother duck has the courage to come back to protect her baby ducks. I've tested (1) - (4) in at least 30 occasions => NO mothers come back.
they are wild, no matter how close you were to them...why the heck would you band them and put them in a cage for your own amusement? because animals try to kill them? so, that happens in the wild naturally, and is why she has so many babies
their so adorable, they must had fun with the lil speed boat, awesome vid!!

There was 9 ducklings in my pond yesterday, today there’s only 3. They don’t last long in the wild.

My class-mate held a chick(starling) in his hands and he let it go. We now blame him for not keeping it.
