This is a revelation, thanks no end!!! The Rockpile version has the better 2-guitar harmony (ironically), but this one is the more rocking, even at a slower tempo. Thin Lizzy on a bad day are better than most bands are at their zenith!
Great song. I knew a guy in college who was in a band called The Trouble Boys, I guess named after this song. TL shows excellent taste in doing this, but I much prefer the sloppy Rockpile version.
Indeed. Butter wouldn't melt in his mouth; lava would turn to ice in his presence. TIME ITSELF eased to a stop on account of his majestic cryogenic influence. He was so cool he left no cool for the rest of us, but that's all right.
This song was not written by Phil Lynott. According to the sleeve on the Thin Lizzy Greatest Hits CD released in 2004 it was written by Billy Bremner.
@lizzylives No, it's not Phils song. It was written by Billy Bremner, who was in Rockpile with Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe. Hanks for posting this, though; I never knew that Lizzy did this song.

These are all great musicians indeed, but no, sorry...
I've never heard anyone do this song better than Mr. Bremner himself.
(Which ever way he plays it)
