Finnish people were not vikings - Danish, Swedish and Norwegian does, so there is no intention for them to sing about foreign folklore. About that melodeath.. hm, we can say, that there are some influences - no surprise, there is Petri Lindroos after all. And: viking metal and black metal have many aspects in common, Eniferum does not have anything to do with black metal.

This is a very great song, even tho songs like Ad Victoriam, Victory song, ahti and one more magic potion are quite amusing from Victory songs album and Iron has great songs like Ferrum aeternum lost in despair and lai lai hei.

I think this album is a very great development above their already great way of making music, this is amazing and I hope their next album will even be better.
