You are very pleasure to listen too,and very unbiased ,on review model.like it should be. Thank for a great review, that being said! (lol) they need the window platform bad!
@johhnyred3g Thanks! I do try to be as fair as possible in my reviews. I am glad you like it. I am surely looking forward to what is in store with the Windows Phone/Nokia partnership.
@nuwaus I understand what you mean 100%! Symbian was my first smartphone platform years ago with the Nokia E62. Despite my preference for other OS models, I still have much respect for Symbian from the nostalgic perspective.
You're so good at these reviews. After 7.5 years of Symbian (and threats of Symbian3, no Maemo, no MeeGo, no Windows7) I'm finally ditching Nokia & migrating to Android w/ the upcoming Sensation. I guess someone out there still likes Symbian, though.
@proteanview Thanks very much! Good luck with your move to the HTC. Yes, there will always be a market for Symbian despite all of its trouble in the mobile industry. I still look back to when I had my E71 and first saw the Nokia promo for its plans to compete with a touch OS. After the XpressMusic came the N97 and N97 mini, and I was completely turned off by Symbian 5th edition. While S3 is an improvement, it is only minor...especially when we have to consider the competition.
@Brunoxtr Dude Don't Put Words In His Mouth...Trent Didn't Say "Symbian Is Just Years Behind", He Said "S^3 OS Can't Measure Up To What He Was Used To With Android".
Those Two Statements Are Not The Same. Symbian Isn't Years Behind, Trent Is Just More Used To Android.
@Brunoxtr One can only hope for the best for when the N9 arrives with MeeGo. I, too, wondered what happened with Maemo after my usage of the N900. Unfortunately, I don't really have that much hope for the S3 Anna update coming with the E6.
@MrJayPalmer Since August 2010, I've been trying my best to run about 50 to 70 miles every week. I also watched my food portions and calorie intake and was VERY strict in the beginning. I went from 240 lbs to 200 lbs in around December, but hit a plateau. Since I incorporated light weights, I have gone down to my current 175lbs. At this point, I don't keep track of calories, but I still control portions and run 50 to 70 miles/week.
@absolon3 Good to hear it's working for you. I plan to start soon, but I only intend on calorie control and some jogging, and possibly weights, so I might not lose as much and as quickly.
@pyeclam Good luck on your fitness endeavors! At this point, I am not performing, but I am working as videographer for Lyric Opera Virginia to create promotional videos.
@Illmatic662 People want flashy GUI's. Also Steven Elo is with Noki now. If Symbian was developed through (namely on the GUI part), and Nokia made mode compeating devices, it would've survived. Now, it wil be used for low end devices and in the end it will indeed die. However for business usage, it's still a very good option (maybe the best), looking at full exchange support, blackberry-support, long batterylife and a really good calander function. Also, syncing with PC is on it's own level.
@Illmatic662 Thanks! I still have much respect for Symbian even though I feel as if I have outgrown it. I, too, am very excited and Windows Phone 7 and the potential it will have with Nokia hardware.
@absolon3 If You Would've Downloaded SPB Mobile Shell Lite For The E7 From The Ovi Store, It Would Mesured Up Much More To What You Are Used To With Android. I Have The Full Version On My N8 And It's Great, It's A Major Upgrade For A Symbian Phone And Its Very Comparable To Android In Many Ways.
@07liberian Honestly, I never liked SPB Mobile Shell over the Symbian UI and see it as no different than the some UI overlays on many Android phones. If I can use the purest form of an interface, that would be a best scenario. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind adopting an overlay that can work for me. For me, SPB just didn't work.
@absolon3 I know, not to mention the concept Nokia has showed on their WP7 phone looks pretty good. I think the move will pay off big, people are ready to proclaim the death of Nokia, but I say not so fast.
@Illmatic662 In my mind, it was more like the death of Symbian, but the fact is that there may still be a market even for that OS as well. I, too, think the Windows Phone adoption will prove to be positive for Nokia in the long run.

See he said it 10:35 Symbian is just years behind and Nokia is blind folded by not adapting a better OS; eg Wheres Meego? Why they killed Maemo?
