First, her crush on Sakaki seems to be entirely unrequited.

Second, she's the only one separated from her friends when they switch classes for their second year.

Third, she has to deal with Kimura-sensei's sexual harassment daily. It may be a topic of humor, but it's definitely sexual harassment.

I think you *are* overthinking things. Probably looking for stuff that's not there too. Sure, Kaorin had a clear crush on Sakaki, but none of the other girls seemed to be lesbians, and Sakaki was clearly not fathomed by Kaorin or any other girls attention. They were all just good friends, there's been no indication of romance between any of them, other than the aforementioned Kaorin unrequited crush. Ppl see gay lovers far too often in anime. More than the authors, i bet.
