  • where in the world are they? not trying to say it in a mean way

  • english plz lol

  • neekereitä saatana.

  • Santaclaus isn´t stupid!!! :D

  • That song is poor

  • "Rotten message"? Those were the kids' own thoughts! Even the children need to vent out their frustrations, and channeling them to creative energy is much better than kids fighting or throwing tantrums at their parents.

This is a pleasant change to all that pretentious "positivity" that some teachers (even in high school) talk about while wearing a fake smile, ugh.

Back to the video itself, great composition!

  • I just realised that I used "pretentious" in the wrong context, oh well, please ignore that.

  • That is a stupid song very very rude and stupid

  • @Singin2mydeath Next time I'll have them add a please and thank you for you. It is a complaint choir, they allowed these children to vent out what is bothering them. I think it is beautiful.

  • haha whats with them and santa clause?

  • If this is what's going on in other countries and if it's seen as "cute" and "funny", then its's quite disturbing and so be it.

Please don't tell me to "chill out" until you've come into my classroom and seen the state that many of these poor children are in.

    Bill Hughey

  • @whughey42 Sir, it is a complaint choir. They happen all over the world, this is one of the only ones I've seen that is strictly children. The kids get together and talk about what is bothering them, they make their own lyrics, and they sing about it. It is a great creative exercise for them and a chance to vent out frustration.

Personally I love how they are trying to keep straight faces the entire time If you want a better understanding check out Helsinki Complaint Choir.

  • @whughey42 You are taking this way too seriously. I was one of those kids so I can say that we weren't completely serious with this. We were just having fun, so you shouldn't take this as a disturbing and horrible thing.

  • cont...

I teach elementary music and I love my job and love the children. We have a great time singing and learning. Not many teachers are as fun as I am, if I may say so.

Composing music that focuses on complaining and other negative character traits completely defeats the purpose of all that we're attempting to do for these children and for our communities.

    continued next message...

  • I'm sure that you're aware of how hard American teachers work to teach, set an example for, and help to mold the minds and personalities of our children.

I'm also sure that you're aware of the breakdown of the family, not only in America, but in other countries as well.

Not only do we teach reading, writing, math, science, music art and physical education, but we also have the added responsibility of teaching character education (basic manners and positive character traits.

  • Wow, your school must be quite different from the ones I attended. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I went through US public education. It sucks, and most teachers didn't care at all. I think it's awesome that this school was permitted to do this, because venting is a much better way of dealing with issues than just bottling it up underneath fake smiles and pretending it doesn't exist. And they get to be creative and create a song where they can vent and make it sound cool.

  • @Musouchan Well that's why the Finnish Education System is the best in the world Study one year in a Finnish University and was pretty awesome i felt jealous when i saw how the schools in Finland works the childrens learn not only form the teacher but also from their own classmates. Although i have good memories from my school period and the teachers i had i really think Finnish people are lucky on this matter.

  • lol joku viikon biisi! ens viikol iha salee jtn upponallee!

  • Wow, someone needs to chill out and let kids be kids.

  • the US is no different. I think public schools in the US is quite worse. The culture in Europe is a lot different. Where things seen as moral-deficit. Is a non-issue to many in a lot of european countries. YOu also have to realize that religion doesn't play a big role in many european societies like it does in America. I think there is nothing wrong with this, but so many other Americans go on and on about how this is horrible XD. American public schools are a lot worse in my opinion.

  • Actually Finnish kids are pretty much like this :). I bet they've been giving the ideas to the song themselves...

  • in a country that is western and has a high rate of suicide. yea I'm not too shock. It isn't all gloomy in FInland. Finnish are just the best at complaining.notice how the only choir that is on the equator that complains is Singapore. I really do think people that aren't wealthy and they live in First World Nations tend to have extremely more stressful lives than those from middle income countries that are just simply making a living mostly from agriculture. industrial societies are interesting.

  • 1:38-1:40 G.O NIIINA!!! GO NIINA!

  • why would u talk about a fart in a choir?

  • beacause our school is sp gaY!

  • Just brlilliant!

  • Maybe try it in english?

  • You're kind of missing the point here :)

  • I like the beat to this song

  • I think this is my favorite one. I love their angry faces!

  • @Mehriheart I agree, I love their seriousness.

  • @Mehriheart ...

    agnry faces?

IMO, this is how most the Finns generally are ... very serious, and not that expressive with their emotions. Doesn't mean that they are less happy though

  • @sarju5 I don't think any where in there I implied that they are angry or unhappy people. Nice try love.

  • This is why Finns rule--they can complain. :)

    Suomenmaa ...

  • kääntiköhän tän tekstin enkun ope mrs. Kamula

  • There is nothing wrong with giving children a voice. Whether we like it or not no matter what the age they have an opinion, and it is always better to hear it than ignore it.

  • lol olin tos koulus iha paska koulu:D:D

  • OMG! I love it!

  • Onks tää Matti Salo niinku Asa :D

  • Tämä on aivan mahtava!

"Koira kaikki huonekalut syö" - tulee mieleen joku valtava Musti joka hullunkiilto silmissä pistelee sohvia menemään ja syljeskelee vaan ruuvit pois. :D

  • akulkis: How? These lyrics were by the kids... And I remember thinking some of these things. At least about teachers overtaking in the queues.

  • I think that they are complaining about Santa Claus because he always brings the wrong presents to children.. you know ;D

  • ihania pikkusia :)

  • :DD onneks en ollu noitten luokalla :P

  • Great little choir! :) The lyrics is as pretty as they are.

Sounds so funny, sounds like Hungarian words, but without meaning. I guess most Finnougric language shares common base pronanunciation.

I do not understand, unfortunatelly I do not speak Finnish. Once I spend some weeks in Helsinki -also visited to Rovaniemi (Lappland)-, it was great!

Well, greeting from Budapest! And I wish happy new year!

    "Onnellista uutta vuotta!" :)

  • woo! :D tosi hauska! xD

  • good job little peeps!!

  • Hahaa, olen itse laulamassa tuolla :DD Se ruskea paitainen jolla on helmet kaulassa :P Hih.

  • they mean futbol right?

  • santa is not stupid

  • "Why is life expensive?" "Food has no taste." These really sound more like complaints the kids would hear from their parents...that interests me. I wonder if the kids really feel that way themselves or if they just decided some of their parents' complaints sounded interesting enough to contribute when they were done with (or didn't want to discuss) their own. :)

  • I can vouch for Finnish school food being tasteless mush, just like any other Finn could. They spent about 3 marks on a single prisoner's meal back when marks were still used, and only about 1½-2 marks for a student's food. The pasta is usually overcooked (never even heard of "al dente"!), the potatoes are always either half-raw or so-called rubber potatoes: hard and rubbery on the outside, powdery mush on the inside, and the food is always flavourless. No spices, no herbs, no nothing.

  • i hated that(no offence)

  • aww...söpöää

  • can you also try to sing a little more polyphone? THe idea is not bad. Satisfaction comes by own "work"/ joy. Joy will show by having a good experience listening to each other, to the other next to you, to all. And when it really works out fine: what a great feeling!

  • whoa! who brought santa claus into this? what ahs he ever done?

  • aww so cuutee!! x

  • Very humorous!

  • Joulupukki on tyhmä! hahahaha! paras :)

  • One of the best I've heard. Finland is full of good singers.

  • ya'll should just luv what ya have

  • Ha. That's cute.

  • lol, joulupukki ^^ mahtava pätkä!!

  • sigh... aren't people around you bitter enough? Why teach kids to be bitter? Bitterness is a disease!

  • Dude. This is Finland we're talking about - it can't be avoided. Kids probably get it from their mother's milk, if not it might be something in the air. This is actually teaching them to use cynicism to do something positive, so you could think of it as a vaccination.

  • Lighten up and enjoy, this is a joke

  • lol! they r sooo cute...good job kids!

  • poor santa i guess he doesnt get to finland lol

  • Actually Santa lives in Finnish Lapland.

  • u serious? i thought he lived at the north pole? or is that it lol

  • We Finns think he lives in Lapland :DD And no, Lapland is not in North Pole.

  • LApland is in the northern part of FInland, and Santa lives in a town called Rovaniemi

  • Santa Claus-stupid! Is this finnish?? if so the Finnish are brill complainers!!

  • Haha :D tää rokkas! Mainio!

  • Love the faces on the kids... the tough boy in the back, the girls who are about to cry in the front.

    Buncha complainin' whingers. :)

  • Wonderful, sweet little kids, I love them all. And, Santa is stupid, I agree. hee hee~

  • thanks for the sub-titles!Saw it about two weeks ago from the website...had no idea what they were complaining about.Alas....it's the same for kids everywhere!!

  • LOL! I usually don´t like people who complain, but this is totally brilliant! I am only wondering why santa claus is stupid...?
