@wisesatyr72 well, I went through a phase of trying them but I am back to using bone pins - there was something slightly harsh about the brass ones I thought. It suited some stuff but overall I think I prefer the bone ones nowadays - definitely not wooden ones, they soudn dull to me, like they absorb or fail to transmit some of the energy or something
@houndheadhenry yeah I bought some ebony pins for an old alvarez laminated rosewoods sides and back w/Solid spruce top, it wasnt that hot. Those pins costs more than the bone.
Great sound and playing. Lovely-looking guitar although, for my tastes, the scroll headstock is way out of proportion. Was it a complete DIY project or based on a kit? Good work.
well, its all my own work except the neck came from the Martin factory as a disgarded 'second' from a limited edition run they did. I did everything else.
Hi, yes I made the guitars I'm playing, but its a hobby and secondary to my playing. They are getting better, this one looks pretty professional until you get too close !
you like these better than bone pins ?

So do you make all these guitars that I see you playing? You are a luthier? Your playing sounds great.
