Little Richard...great! Note the four saxophones...big loss! When the guitar took over the band it was an innovation, but the loss of the sax was a big loss. There must be a way to combine those two dominant instruments in one band. That's a challenge that no one has successfully accomplished, so far as I know. The MC in that film segment was the great Alan Freed. In my mind, he was more significant to the development of rock 'n' roll than Little Richard.

It wasn't really allowed at all. The reason they're dancing, is because, Richard's songs were so beautiful, segregated halls couldn't help but come together. Shows you just how powerful music really is. This is why Little Richard was so pivotal in the history of music.

But much more importantly, everything Little Richard is he copied from Esqew Reader. Little Rich copied how he dresses, talks, hair, mustache, plays the piano, sings all a carbon copy from Esqew Reader. I love Little Richard but he is NOT the start of RnR like he claims to be.
