@nbbran that were the card of chisame, it's a like a computer defender if we can say like this, but really she can't do something, because her card pactio and her ability is hacking, so her function is in the mahora event during the original "trama" of the manga, in the end they're like her company friends in "alone moments" if I can say it like that

If people actually bothered to watch the actual OVA, this DOES follow the manga. How do I know? I've seen it AND read the manga cause both are the shit!!!! Even if it didnt follow the manga, WHICH IT DOES!!!!, I'd watch it cause it Negima and Negima is awesome!!!!!

@2UevoLi shiroki tsubasa and mou hitotsu no sekai (3rd and 4th ova series) are continuations of the story which the first two animes and ovas completely diverged from. You need to have been reading manga up to the point where OVAs start to be up to date since first anime had an "original ending". If you read up to end of mahora festival then these new OVAs + movie will continue story for you. Completely dedicated to manga.

Yes, but not the one where it involves the fighting contest hosted by Chao Lingshen. The OVA's start at the fight between Negi and Chao on the last day of the festival, then to their training.

I think so too. But if these OVA's make a big impression on the fan's in a good way, from what i've gathered. They will then make a 3rd Serie's. Hopefully it will have the same animation as this. This is by far the best animation style for Negima!? :)

For those, Shaft (the company that did Negima!?) just decided to do their own thing and design/animate the characters in their own way. For these OADs, they wanted to stick strictly to the manga character designs and color palette, so Chisame lost her brown hair and a lot of characters end up looking different to those that only follow the animes. Personally, I prefer it this way, since I love the manga. =)

I prefer OVA Asuna to the 1st series Asuna too, actually. In the first series the character designs just felt really flat and lifeless to me. I felt it was kinda cheap.

Personaly i think theis style suits the Manga/Anime much, MUCH more better. Though it still has most of the quality's of the Spring and Summer OVA's, these new OVA's has a style all their own...
