A fetus is not a person unless it meets the following criteria:
1)Becomes sentient, self-aware, and conscious.
2)It is able to survive on its own.
Even if these criteria are had, the child can still be aborted while being morally correct because of this: It is the mother's body. One is not allowed to sacrifice a person to save another. The ends do not justify the means.

The government should pass a law that parents cannot have more than two kids. If they do they are penalized with higher taxes and less insurance coverage. Or, people should just not have children for the next 10 years. Either of those would solve the population crisis. If you made a law restricting births to a certain number, there would be people who would go out of their way to break it.

Hi Joe. The problem isnt so much space as it is resources. There is plenty of room for all of us, as you said. There is also plenty of resources for all of us. But at our current numbers those resources come at a price such as destroying habitats of other animals and forests that the planet needs to stay in balance. We could have a whole bunch more people, but eventually, it would end up destroying so many resources we would go extinct after wiping out countless other species and nature.
Now, I suppose we could continue to populate as current if you are willing to give up much of the luxury technologies we currently use that use up too many resources. We could probably keep electricity, running water, etc. but plastic and paper would have to go bye bye. as well, houses would have to be more tribal like modern mudhuts. ANd we would have to live in tribes and small towns. IF u would be willing to make those compromises, among others, than yes, we could probably stat this big.

We could stay the same, we could even greatly multiply, but the way we all live as modern humans would have to change enormously...and quite honestly, I think most people wont make those changes until they are forced to by mother earth, and they will be eventually, because some of the resources we have are not renewable, and when they are gone, they are gone, along with the technology they make possible.

Why do people think a couple of cells is a life?
A fetus is not a person unless it meets the following criteria:
1)Becomes sentient, self-aware, and conscious.
2)It is able to survive on its own.
Even if these criteria are had, the child can still be aborted while being morally correct because of this: It is the mother's body. One is not allowed to sacrifice a person to save another. The ends do not justify the means.

I'm pregnant right now, and I'm STILL pro-choice. I aborted at 14 under completely different life circumstances than I am in now, and I'm not choosing to keep my child out of fear, out of pressure, out of guilt, or anything else- I am doing it because I am READY. I in no way regret my abortion-0 it WAS the right thing to do, just like this time, this place, THIS set of circumstances, it is the right thing to keep it. Different people/lives=different needs and circumstances. We aren't robots.

It's about whether or not the unborn child is alive. If the unborn isn't alive there is no need to justify abortion. If he/she is alive then nothing can justify it.

I work in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology and have seen sonograms, heard heartbeats, held my best friend's newborn baby and I am still pro-choice. But your video is beautiful. The government should pass a law that parents cannot have more than two kids. If they do they are penalized with higher taxes and less insurance coverage. Or, people should just not have children for the next 10 years. Either of those would solve the population crisis. But it comes down to the rebellious people who wont be told what to do even if it is for their own good. If you made a law restricting births to a certain number, there would be people who would go out of their way to break it.

Hi Joe. The problem isnt so much space as it is resources. There is plenty of room for all of us, as you said. There is also plenty of resources for all of us. But at our current numbers those resources come at a price such as destroying habitats of other animals and forests that the planet needs to stay in balance. We could have a whole bunch more people, but eventually, it would end up destroying so many resources we would go extinct after wiping out countless other species and nature.

Now, I suppose we could continue to populate as current if you are willing to give up much of the luxury technologies we currently use that use up too many resources. We could probably keep electricity, running water, etc. but plastic and paper would have to go bye bye. as well, houses would have to be more tribal like modern mudhuts. ANd we would have to live in tribes and small towns. IF u would be willing to make those compromises, among others, than yes, we could probably stat this big.
