I purchased this album before I knew Adam didn't release it and I knew as soon as I heard it that it wasn't the kind of music he sang ,but It has beautiful pictures of him on the cd and the insert so I'm glad to have it if only to look at. Those people should be ashamed of themselves for being so publicity and money grabbing!!

@marwammes b/c it's not rlly him. he even said in an interview that the songs didnt sound like his natural talent. it's him singing, but its not his soul and effort. for your entertainment his wat he wants his fans to listen to and buy. he could care less about this. i think someone released these songs against him or w/o his consent.

@marwammes Also he was told to imitate another singer, because these were just demo tracks for others. He felt betrayed by the people who worked with him on this because it was never supposed to be released. So now they're gaining profit for themselves against Adam's will.

Wow so strange how different he sounds. Shows his amazing talent how he can change his voice like this. I actually like the song and his voice here, but also not on the same token as it is not his true self as has been said in the comments. This has some passion, but lacks the character and passion Adam has now in his new work.

He was also "directed" to sing it differently than he normally would. I wont buy it.

@connieluo I don't know why either. Well, the song is on his pre-idol album, so I guess it's not really officially his and there's this band I like that did the same thing with their original songs. I'm guessing it's for the same reasons as theirs. This is probably old stuff even though the album was released recently and he probably feels that the songs on his Take One album should be enjoyed at no cost.

Adam's voice is beautiful even when he is not trying...however I can tell he is singing it as a generic demo as it lacks his usual passion and personal style. And since Adam does not want us to support the album I will not be buying it. If at a later date I feel a real need to have any songs from Take One I will do a free d/l from internet. I will not give a penny to this company! I am glad they had to change the song list and were not allowed to include songs written by Adam like they wanted

Just wondering if anyone else who has heard a few of these "take one" songs agrees with me - that Adam's voice sounds messed with, like they lowered his tone on all of them or something. There's just something not quite right about how he sounds...I dunno...anyone else hear what I'm hearing? Listen to some other posted "take one" songs.

There's this one song that is freakishly low. But form one of the upright cabaret vids, you can tell he also has a low voice, but that one freakishly low song, was scaryy.

I think these songs were recorded to shop around for other singers. If Adam had been allowed to sing his characteristic high notes, other singers couldn't sing them. That would have defeated their commercial purposes. Adam's voice is gorgeous, no matter.
