Battle frontier for one. there are alot of new lewgendaries such as the birds, the regis, Both Dialga and Palkia. different story, New Sinnoh dex, new forms of pokemon(Rotom, Giratina), Possibilities of getting certain pokemon earlier.

It's a good game, the plaza is a good add-on. The new character looker was a good idea. Cynthia gives you an egg just before going to eterna, now on Diamond and pearl its a dumb Wynut, but on platinum it's a Togepi, i know they are pretty dumb, but you can;t underestimate a togekiss? Anyway, i think Platinum deserves a 5/5 because of the new online features not available on diamond and pearl.

But still, a lot of work for internet play needs too be done. They want too "protect" you just so you can play with people you know.

Pokemon is so much better now than it used to be. The sheer complexity in battle strategy alone is staggering, not to mention the unbelievable amount of other stuff you can do. I know some people who have 999:59 clocked into their game, and there's still so much left for them to complete.

Well, sucks is a bit strong of a word. But, I'd like to see a back to basics generation with at most 7 legendaries (trio, box duo, and two events) and Pokémon that look like, uh, Pokémon (though I have to give some credit to Buizel, Pachirisu, Carnivine, Gen. IV's babies, and the Riolu line for that.)

actually, in japan when Pokemon was first released I think they had 3 games... Red, Blue, and Green (just like the 3 starter pokemon you can pick). But when they brought it to America, they dumbed it down to just 2 games... red and blue....

Then when they updated them for the GBA, they did green and red... and left blue out of it... weird...
