It has happened thrice, one, long before the series (Lei Magnus=Shabranigdu), then Rezo=Shabranigdu and, in the last novel, Luke=Shabranigdu.
Hey, I've just realised something. In this dubbed version, we miss one scene where Lina asked Rezo whether to allow Ruby Eye to consume his soul. Also, we miss the scene where Rezo's soul intefere and weaken Ruby Eye's defence. Another thing is, we can't see Lina scream in agony when the magical energy collide each other. Although what annoyed me about the anime version is that the Ragna Blade was the only spell that had an Imperfect Version and a Perfect version. Actually, I think DBZ is more popular. Of the 90's anime, DBZ was right up there with Pokemon, Digimon, and Sailormoon, the big 4 anime of the 90's. Of course, this all because they actually SHOWED it on TV (after some major censourship of course) whereas Slayers, I don't believe, did.

Physical damage means nothing to a Mazoku(their physical form is nothing but an image they create to interact with the human world) unless you can harm its astral body, and unless Ki (which is merely manifesting spiritual energy made physical)can traverse dimensions, Goku would be wasting his time. I'd give Goku a chance against a fragment like this one here, but against Shabrinigdo in his full form (who has the power to destroy his universe), I don't think so.

Well, what I mean is Ceiphied should be able to lend his power to sorcerers as well. If the spell is at par with Dragon Slave, it might strong enough to kill higher level demons. Good sorcerers would combine powers and unleash double team attack; the same way Lina and Sylphiel casted double Dragon Slave on Phibrizzo.
I believe that the closest thing to Ceipheed lending his power to humans would either be Holy Magic, which only the golden dragons seem to know how to use, and the shard of Ceipheed inside of Luna. I've looked up a lot of Slayers Lore and have come to the conclusion that apperently when a god/monster is destroyed, the spell that calls upon them is rendered useless, like since Lina killed Gaav, the spells Gaav Flare and Demon Dragon Inferno Howl can no longer be used. And Ceipheed is dead.
Well i dont know if Ceipheed is totally dead he left behind 4 dragon lords and a piece of his will cause if it was "dead" (as supposed ) not even the golden dragon that are ryozoku not shinzoku would be able to use holy magic

1. The more dangerous an attack is to use, the stronger it is. The Spirit Bomb doesn't hold very many risks compared to the Giga Slave.
2. The Giga Slave IS the Lord of Nightmares, ergo it has all her powers. The Lord of Nightmares can destroy and create, it's virtually unlimited power. Spirit Bomb's power is limited to the energy it can gather.
3. For the Spirit Bomb to equal the Lord of Nightmare's power, it would probably have to take energy from every being in every universe which is practically impossible since it takes a long period of time just to gather energy from one planet, in addition to not even having access to other universes.
I seriously doubt that it would take all the energy in the universe. Also it doesn't take long for goku to gather the energy from a single planet since he's been seen to be gathering it from other planets outside of his galaxy. Also I'm only being generous by just talking about goku here. I could've brought the dragon Shenlong himself into it which would completely eradicate the Lord of Nightmares, lol. No being even in the DBZ universe has compared to his power.

Simply search "Piccolo kills Shenron" and you will see differently. After his wish is granted, Piccolo kills the dragon, you see Shenron's severed arm fall on the ground AND the dragon balls fall to the ground as stones. So either Shenron was destroyed, or Piccolo found a really cheap way to recollect the Dragonballs.

Except they DON'T actually destroy dimensions and stuff, Lord of N CAN but since the Lord only appears once in the 3 season anime, it's not that big a deal cause the rest of the time no one has that dimensional destructive power. Planetary destruction, maybe, but hundreds of anime in the same genre do the same thing anyway.
Given that the LON does not even need to gather the energy of chaos, Goku would probably be in trouble from the get-go. One on-going thing in DBZ is that Shenron's power is tied with its creator. I don't think Shenron could even touch the "source of all chaos".
That's a pretty interesting comment. The Spirit Bomb does affect things that are evil, but I don't think you can define chaos as good or evil as it is a part of pretty much everything. As much as I like DBZ, I don't think the Spirit Bomb would have any effect on the Lord of Nightmares.

Actually, it wouldn't. Physical damage means nothing to a Mazoku(their physical form is nothing but an image they create to interact with the human world) unless you can harm its astral body, and unless Ki (which is merely manifesting spiritual energy made physical)can traverse dimensions, Goku would be wasting his time. I'd give Goku a chance against a fragment like this one here, but against Shabrinigdo in his full form (who has the power to destroy his universe), I don't think so.

That's why I said it sucks because sorcerer has to rely on Lord of Nightmares power which is very hard to control. If Ceiphied could borrow his power to sorcerer, I'm sure we'll see a counter part of Dragon Slave; Hyper Dragon Beam may be?

Well, what I mean is Ceiphied should be able to lend his power to sorcerers as well. If the spell is at par with Dragon Slave, it might strong enough to kill higher level demons. Good sorcerers would combine powers and unleash double team attack; the same way Lina and Sylphiel casted double Dragon Slave on Phibrizzo.

I believe that the closest thing to Ceipheed lending his power to humans would either be Holy Magic, which only the golden dragons seem to know how to use, and the shard of Ceipheed inside of Luna. I've looked up a lot of Slayers Lore and have come to the conclusion that apperently when a god/monster is destroyed, the spell that calls upon them is rendered useless, like since Lina killed Gaav, the spells Gaav Flare and Demon Dragon Inferno Howl can no longer be used. And Ceipheed is dead.

If I asked my college professor who the Lord of Nightmares was, he would look at me like I was stupid. If I asked him what the Slayers was, he would probably be thinking Buffy or something. If I asked him what Dragonballz was, he would definitely explain to me how munch he and his kids watch it. Even rappers know what dbz is. Thatz why it's the most powerful anime in the world. Now the Spirit Bomb attacks everything that is negative, it doesn't really harm positive energy. He would e eradicated.

Sry, but if it was Spirit Bomb versus Giga Slave, I'd have to say that Giga Slave wins.
1. The more dangerous an attack is to use, the stronger it is. The Spirit Bomb doesn't hold very many risks compared to the Giga Slave.
2. The Giga Slave IS the Lord of Nightmares, ergo it has all her powers. The Lord of Nightmares can destroy and create, it's virtually unlimited power. Spirit Bomb's power is limited to the energy it can gather.

3. For the Spirit Bomb to equal the Lord of Nightmare's power, it would probably have to take energy from every being in every universe which is practically impossible since it takes a long period of time just to gather energy from one planet, in addition to not even having access to other universes.

I seriously doubt that it would take all the energy in the universe. Also it doesn't take long for goku to gather the energy from a single planet since he's been seen to be gathering it from other planets outside of his galaxy. Also I'm only being generous by just talking about goku here. I could've brought the dragon Shenlong himself into it which would completely eradicate the Lord of Nightmares, lol. No being even in the DBZ universe has compared to his power.

Either way, the dragon's powers have always been "limited" remember? It can bring back the same person twice so that proves its doesn't have limitless power, whereas the Lord of Nightmares does.

No piccolo didn't kill the dragon, lol. If he did then a lot of people would still be dead. Also the dragon isn't limited by saying what he can and what he can do like any wish granter. Like any wish granter, the dragon is specific with his rules. Also how many times have goku died? Not to mention he also brought back the entire planet once from when boo killed destroyed it. Trust me the Lord of Nighmares isn't the baddest. There's always a bigger fish in everything.

Simply search "Piccolo kills Shenron" and you will see differently. After his wish is granted, Piccolo kills the dragon, you see Shenron's severed arm fall on the ground AND the dragon balls fall to the ground as stones. So either Shenron was destroyed, or Piccolo found a really cheap way to recollect the Dragonballs.

King Piccolo, as in from Dragon Ball not Dragon Ball Z, did kill Shenron after wishing for his youth. Afterwards he is killed by Goku, allowing Goku to urge Kami to make new dragon balls.

Except they DON'T actually destroy dimensions and stuff, Lord of N CAN but since the Lord only appears once in the 3 season anime, it's not that big a deal cause the rest of the time no one has that dimensional destructive power. Planetary destruction, maybe, but hundreds of anime in the same genre do the same thing anyway.

Given that the LON does not even need to gather the energy of chaos, Goku would probably be in trouble from the get-go. One on-going thing in DBZ is that Shenron's power is tied with its creator. I don't think Shenron could even touch the "source of all chaos".

That's a pretty interesting comment. The Spirit Bomb does affect things that are evil, but I don't think you can define chaos as good or evil as it is a part of pretty much everything. As much as I like DBZ, I don't think the Spirit Bomb would have any effect on the Lord of Nightmares.

You do know that Shabranigdo in his completed form(not this one) can destroy the universe if he felt like it? Or that his holy counterpart Ceiphied is capable of the same(though doesn't since he was born to protect that universe)? It's what they were created to do.
Or that the Lord of Nightmares (whom Lina is summoning) created them and the other Dark Lords, Gods and the other universes as a passing thought? That's way more powerful than anything in DBZ.

But there are a lot of great anime out there that never got any or barely any advertisement at all and when i mean Great and mean Anime that just hit the spot, superb. First, Zelgadis' VA is a fairly famous VA used in other anime like SOS Brigade, Wolf's Rain, etc.

Truly earning the title of a color (Despite being the most insulting...) Lina Inverse created the Giga Slave from tidbits she found in various magical tomes. The only time she tested the spell was at a beach, where she turned it into a "Bay of Death."
I do wonder if Lina Inverse is a vessal for he who shines like gold upon the sea of chaos...
