And the apostrophe has been in every single version of her name I have found online, including album information and her wikipedia page. Maybe your knowledge of Russian is greater than mine, but I was under the impression that the apostrophe is our version of the Cyrillic letter ь, which is very present in her name: Ольга Витальевна Яковлева. Vitalevna should be 'Vital'evna'

Also there are no apostrophes in the actual Russian language and they are pretty useless in English cause either way English speakers can't pronounce that sound for their lives and in official translations apostrophes aren't used. @EternalHiganbana psht, depends on where you go. (I'm an American who cares, so I take some mild offense at that.) It's just that America is a large country so in many places it isn't as easy to travel to culturally and linguistically different countries as it is in Europe.

Also, there are a lot of immigrants in America as well (many of whom would probably call themselves Americans now) who come from different cultures and used to speak different languages. I imagine they care very much.
