  • Ed Balls is the type of politician who judges a ministers skill on how much they can spend, not how efficiently and effectively they can spend it. Hence the horrendous waste in the building schools programme. I often feel when Ed Balls speaks that he doesn't care what happens to the country so long as his side wins. A bit like a football fan who doesn't care if his team plays badly so long as they win the game. I just hope the British people don't fall for Labours jumping on every bandwagon.

  • this bloke is a prick he stood up today and told osbourne to spend less time on the slopes so is it only tony blair that can have a holiday cliff richards villa ,eygpt , he was hardly ever in the country , still shows labourdoing what they do best spin and pass the buck ,

  • @djfairhead Wish granted!

  • Ed - to be honest I've never been a fan of yours before but please make sure you or Yvette become leader or shadow chancellor soon.

Labour are a missing an open goal at the moment.

We are cutting our way into oblivion and no one is putting up the argument against these cuts.

UK Government debt - 60% GDP, UK Private debt - over 200% GDP

Why the constant media focus on government debt. Cutting government debt when the private sector is doing the same thing - a recipe for disaster!!!

  • Haha, prat. Opposing 'something must be done' - that's the exact same argument you gave for throwing billions of pounds of our money at bad banks. 'Something' had to be done then, but I didn't see you saying "ok we could bail-out the banks, but what else could we do?" Where was your alternative then? Everything that's happening now is because, as Liam Byrne said, there is no money left. Well done Ed. You buggered up the country, now someone else will be to blame for cleaning it up.

  • Fantastic Speech. Finally somebody speaks out. Ed for shadow chancellor

  • Hot air
