  • Chris, this New pro staff 90, is better to the old one?? is more confortable too??

The SW make that racquet more friendly too the arm???

    Bob From Brazil

    Thanks

  • Im confused, i tested this racket last week at the same time that i tested the 6.1 blx and i currently own and play with a st. vincent 85 original pro staff. Having 20 years of experince i was dissapointed with the new pro staff. They say swing weight was decreased yet it felt much heavier on the swing than both the old pro staff and the blx 6.1. I even have led at 3, 9, and twelve on my st. vincent and it swings lighter than this new pro staff.

  • @tenniswarehouse... Question to Chris and Granville. Which string set up do you guys prefer to six one tour(tension also)? I recently using Wilson Championship Choice to my BLX 90, and I still missing more feel from the string. Thank you for the answer

  • Lol to head has a youtube channel

  • In you guys opinion, which Tour model do you think is better overall? The BLX. 6.1 from last year? Or the new Pro Staff version for this year?

  • What is the best racket for spin? excluding babolat.(hate that rackets) can you do the review like this? top 10 spin rackets and strings. ?

  • I am getting a BLX Six.One 95 16x20. What strings would you recommend and tension level? I like how the racquet is said to have a lot of control, but i wanted to compensate a little for the loss of power with possibly, the RPM Blast 16's with a tension of 53. But i also heard on a review of the strings, that with most racquets, you should have the tension a little looser than normal. Is that the case with the BLX six.one 95?

  • Hi TW,

I bought this racquet a while back. What strings would you suggest for spin?

kirschbaum super smash, topspin cyberflash/blue, head sonic pro. All in 16g. I like polys so no multis or gut. And how does the super smash stack up against the newer polys?

    Thanks!

  • @tenniswarehouse: i would agree with you. I used a St. Vincent 85 for many years and absolutely loved it in every way.

  • out of 10 how powerfull would you say this racket is thanks :)

  • @nadalrocks941,

I scored it 8.3, Granville 8, Mark 8 and Troy 7. The power comes from your ability to use the weight and plow through of the racquet.

    Chris, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse totally agree. i don't have this version, i have the k version, but you don't really need to swing 'hard'. you need a full swing, but racquet head speed is the key.

  • i ordered already ^__^

  • Hey, I have 4 each of the kfactor and blx version of this frame, and while I initially preferred the kfactor version, I have gotten used to the deader blx. Recently however, I have noticed that the kfactor versions are up to .5 oz heavier than the blx counterparts, and I think I initially found myself missing that plow. If I end up needing to switch soon, would you even recommend that I try the 85? Or would you say just get this and consider adding weight to the top of the handle?

  • @purgatory13z,

You should definitely try the 85, it is an amazing racquet.

    Chris, TW

  • I didn't see that model on TW.com

  • @MaxSk8rr

The Asics Gel Speed Solutions will be available in February.

    Spencer, TW.

  • Chris, where do you get your Green/Black Asics? Looks nice

  • Can you guys get at least 2 young college pro players to do your reviews? you have lots of knowledge and experience when it comes to tennis racquets, but seeing you hit the ball with such a bad technique, simply makes me cringe! I know that your marketing is mostly targeted towards amateurs, however, one ore two young pros would make your videos reviews much more credible. I actually like all of you, but I just wanted to give a little constructive feedback. All the best! This racquet rocks!

  • @stefanrahovean I like these TW vidoe reviews, but I have to agree with your comments. I live in Southern Calif and have seen many college players (5.0-6.0) with really sound fundamentals. These playtesters I'm sure played in college as mentioned, but it is kind of hard to judge the rackets in vids using playtesters with admittedly loose looking technique. (maybe with the exception of Granville, looks like he had some game in his prime.)

  • How Arm friendly is the Pro Staff Six.One 90? (I have a recent shoulder injury)

  • @halo3multi,

It is very comfortable. My only concern would be the weight of the racquet. Weight can be taxing on a weak shoulder.

    Chris, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse thanks, i play with a YT radical pro with say 2 pounds of lead tape, the balance just gets to me, a 12+ racquet i should be able to handle it if its as long as comfortable, once again thanks

  • i always skip the vid to troy's review because he seems like the only one who knows what he's talking about lol

  • Is this racquet a new version of the Wilson Six one tour??

  • @ThePacemaker45,

    Yes.

    Chris, TW

  • Is this racquet a new verison or a step up of the Wilson BlX Six one tour or the Blx six one 90

  • @ThePacemaker45,

It is basically the same frame design but with Amplifeel in the handle rather than just a foam handle pallet. The firmer Amplifeel strips provide enhanced feedback.

    Chris, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse

please make reviews for the Head Youtek IG extreme pro . pleaseeeeeee

  • I was wondering about your matching service, can I specify the swing weight range I want? Cause I was thinking about purchasing a pair of the new Pro Staff 90's with a swing weight on the low side. Since I have both a K and a BLX version with such a heavy swing weight that it's too much for me to adapt to; going from my old Ncodes. I always find my timing is late especially on my backhand going wide.

  • @TTech321,

Please give us a call and one of our MRTs will let you know what is possible with the stock spec of the racquet.

    Chris, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse What is the biggest difference between the prostaff six one 90 to the blx version and the k factor version(differnce between all)? What would the adjustment be for me who uses the blx version?

  • @TangoDownTennis,

This one is the most maneuverable feeling and the response feel is between the BLX and KFacter versions. The BLX version is the most muted and the KFacter version is crisper.

    Chris, TW

  • At :44 he's serving with two balls in his hand.. but at :48 the ball magically disappears

  • @lilp3t3rr ya its two different clips. obviously you can't keep the camera where it is at :44 or it would be on the court and in the way

  • omg they ruined this racket

  • Compared with the new Head Youtek IG Prestige Mid, what is the major difference with this new 90 BLX? Plow through? Stiffness? Just your personal feeling is a good enough indication. Thanks.

  • I use currently the BLX six one tour but thinking on switching.. play a serve and volley game and i love the feel the racquet gives me but I think I need something a bit more forgiving,

since I dont play as much as I use to.

Dont know if I should choose the 90 or 95???

Do you loose a lot of that preciseness with the 95? or is the feel pretty much the same?

  • @jimmypalmhager,

I found this to be the most forgiving of the Six.One Tours yet. That being said, it is so much easier to bring a lighter racquet up to spec with lead tape than it is to reduce the swingweight of a heavier racquet (add material is easy, removing it is a pain). I think you'll find the 95 to be plenty precise and with its lighter weight it a is a great platform for weight/balance customization.

    Chris, TW

  • and where the hell is Spencer? lol

  • Comment removed

  • I prefer the K Factor Six One Tour :P

  • troy mentioned that this racquet felt more maneuverable and lighter than the previous blx and kfactor versions, however i just looked at the specs of the old blx on ur site, and it was 9 pts head light witha 12.5 oz strung weight , where is this newer model is 8 pts head light and 12.6 oz... so shouldnt that be less maneuverable and more heavy..???

  • @millionairejh,

It is not the weight and balance, but the swingweight which is lighter and that makes the new version more maneuverable. Swingweight depends on the distribution of mass and is only partially influenced by weight/balance. Think of it this way, if a take off the bumper guard, I reduce swingweight considerably. If I add the weight back just past the balance point with lead, I can keep the weight/balance unchanged but have now lowered swingweight.

    Chris, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse oh i c what your saying. ok well do u think theres any adjustment i would need to make if i got this newer version. i suppose it wouldnt be considerable

  • @millionairejh,

I can switch very easily between the two without missing a beat. You could also add jut a little bit of lead to the hoop of the racquet to bring the swingweight up. A very small amount at the tip would do it. If you send us your existing stick we can match it for a small fee so it is identical to the one you are using.

    Chris, TW

  • why did they mess with the swing weight. ugh. its annoying having to adjust

  • it looks exactly the same as the old one but white lol

  • Comment removed

  • i cant wait to get my hands on this racket :)

  • Geez, gonna make switch again, one of my friends told me that the new Fed's racquet which showed in this video has less vibration than its previous models!

  • Awesome stick!!!!!
