  • Im wondering if you recieved the rights to this video from MADACY Entertainment. Their video contains EXACTLY the same footage as seen here. In fact, the narration is very much the same! Their title is the same too! "Twilight of Steam".

  • Actually Madacy received the rights to this video from us, along with a number of other videos they market which came from the Green Frog Railroad Video Library!

    Green Frog Prod. Ltd.

  • the description said we would see reading T1s. There were none. This was a total letdown

  • When paperwork is lost on a steam engine...due to fire...or whatever the circumstances...there are 2 things crucial to getting everything in order...#1 is money and #2 is performing a complete 1472 day overhaul. There are many engines out there today running that did not come with a stack of "My Own Running History" folders. Any engine can be made to run for a price. If EVERY rail fan would antie up say $1000.00 every year to steam...well you get the picture.

  • nostalgic...she and her sisters 45-46-48-49 and 50 worked exclusively on CNR commuter service between Montreal & Vaudreuil, often racing with the CPR trains next to it. A few finished their days on the short stub between Pointe-Calumet and St-Eustache c1960.

  • I've heard of another 4-6-4T being restored in Quebec. I wish there was a G scale model of this engine.

  • This Loco is still in the Steamtown collection. If they are going to continue with Canadian steam this would be more economical to use rather then 3254. Use 2317 or that Boston & Maine engine if it ever gets finished for the heavier special trains. This suburban engine would be great for days when only a few cars are used.

  • They won't be able to use the 47 because it's maintanence records were lost ina fire.

  • @atsf3415dbr So, they couldn't even have painstakingly inspected every inch of the steel in her boiler? Replace all the flues and other piping? It's an all,or nothing deal? I don't understand this policy. If anyone out there is a boiler inspector, or knows this policy well, could you please give me more information?

  • my grandma lives in sunapee just 5 miles from the old tracks

  • Why wouldn't they let it run just because of lost paperwork? Is it a liability hazard? Did the paperwork show how to maintain a steam locomotive?

  • no it showed previous operational records(ie problems, hazards, had a boiler explosion at one point perhaps?)

  • Thanks for posting this!!!

  • That was sad how they dropped the fire on a damn-fine locomotive.

  • which one?

  • 47 the Tank Engine

  • and its in such horrible shape now :(

  • i have this video on vhs

  • I do too.

  • Wow its really impressive to see her run

  • I have this video!!good video

  • how is there a 2-8-0 382!!??

  • 2-8-0 is the Driver or(wheel) arrangement of the Loco. Meaning 2 front wheels, 8 driving wheels, and 0 trailing wheels. #382 is the Loco number posted on the side of the Loco!

  • where you mean on the cab or the headlight?

  • i know what a 2-8-0 is i'm just saying where the # 382 is.

  • @GreenFrogVideos i know what a 2-8-0 is, i just didnt see the number 382 in the program

  • now that was neat!!
