Please respond! How the heck do you get it to sound like that? When I use the keyboard, it sounds JUST fine, but when I put it on the track, it sounds like "ERRRRRRRRR" (an electronic sound) without anything else. Others have been experiencing the problem.
Check out my channel! I've been making dubstep for maybe 4 months, and I'd really love to get some feedback on my songs. Although I only have one song uploaded, I have four more that are completed but I have yet to upload them. Check out my shit! :DDDD
to every one who is failing at making a wub, make sure your filter is actually set to something. daft is my favorite, though this guy is using scream.
why when I play the sound back on the piano roll it sounds good (like, WUBWUBWUB) but when I play it once it's in the pattern it's just like an electric vibration :/
@AnonymousPlayerr Well it depends on what type of genre you produce. I myself use logic. I have used ableton before and it is a good software. Logic costs $500 you can make everything from rock, hip hop, dubstep, pop, & techno. Ableton is $400 & in my opinion is more for electronic music such as dubstep, & techno. I think logic is the best software out there and many pro producers use it. But overall it's up to you, your taste in music and your budget.
@3METALover3 If you have any kind of assignable MIDI controller, you can right click either of the ratio numbers that control the LFO rate, a menu will drop down and you'll see "MIDI learn". Click that and then the next control you move on your keyboard/whatever will be controlling whatever number you clicked on.
Can we please see yur piano roll... I really need help with putting it all together. I Would really appericate it if u could help a simple novice like me through the beginner stage!
goto my site ive got 10 free wobbles im giving away they are the best you can find also have a pack for sale for 10 dollars you get 150 of the best wobbles from datsik bassnectar skrillex etc etc watch?v=ErmqHG1VHXY
@douknothemuffinman1 The "wubz" are a result of settings in the plug in. You can automate the ratio to change the wubbliness lol in your host but the midi notes in the piano roll wont change in appearance. The host in this case logic will play the one note but as it plays massive is opening and closing the filter to give you the movement. E.G. you dont input 16s to get your wubz. Play a long note and let massive wub it up. Is that what you mean? or are you sayin you're wubless? : (
@justogetarep nah when i play notes via massive the "wubz" pik up and everything is straight within the vst itself, ive played around with different sounding wah's and everything. but when i put it in my piano roll, its a straight line note, but when i play the same note useing only my keyboard, the wah plays through.... its kinda strange idk whats going on though : /
@douknothemuffinman1 I asked a friend who knows massive better than I do and they said turn off the external sync in massives global settings. Failing that maybe use the auto filter in logic to get your wubz but seems a shame seeing as thats one of massives great features.
Had one problem thought. My knobs where in a totally different position than yours when i opened up Massive, Didn't really know how to fix it so I turned every knob manually. I was twisting those knobs so long my hands started shaking, (totally worth it, The result was beyond amazing)
it makes the audio that comes outta the speakers sound much much clearer if you set it up. On-board audio really cant handle so many 'voices' at once.
You can automate the LFO in FL. :) All you have to do is adjust it (It doesn't matter how much), and then you can go to tools>last tweaked>create automation clip. I hope this comment is useful (even if it doesn't seem like you specifically use FL) :)
However, for some reason it doesnt sync my wobbles in LFO. When I untick "sync", the wobbles are just fine, but when I tick that, the wobbleing disappears and theres just a long tail. In plain simple English, there is only "Wooooooo..", there's no "Wowowow" :D
I Need HELP! Whenever i play my sounds in Massive it starts making a Static type sound and it ruins my Wobbles. Any Body got a Suggestion on how to fix this?
You are running out of buffering space on your sound card, if you increase the amount if time it can render in the buffer, that will stop. I run FL Studio so... in that tou open the audio options and it has a slider that you can drag further to the right to add more ms to the buffer time.
In Fl Studio You need to go to Options>Audio Settings and drag the buffer length slider to the right. Unless you are using the builtin ASIO4ALL driver, then you go Options>Audio Settings click the show asio panel and drag that slider further to the right.. Its Because You are running out of room in the audio buffer. Increasing that lengeth allows the sample to hang longer in the buffer so the buffer doesnt stall.
@bandit012339 i'm still having the problem. I did exactly what you said I even switched back and forth between asio and my primary to see if that would change and nothing happened. I still hear just an annoying buzz when I make notes in the piano roll
Perhaps you can help me here please! I am totally confused... This here looks really good, but i thought it was its own program, and peoepl are talking about using it with Fl etc? whats that all about? will I have to get Fl or reason or something like those, then download this and use them together? how does it all work! :(
Well I decided to restart and I figured out when I turn on Insert 1 and max the knobs, the pitch seems way to high, even when I copied what you did in the video. I get like this squeak (not in the good way) in the background. Up until that point I followed every little thing in the video.
@drerror Im using FL9, so may be different for other programs, but i found that you can unclick the "sync" button beneath the LFO ratio boxes used for the rate and it should give you a knob with an open box, drag the LFO your using into sync box and then browse parameters and choose MODULATOR 5RATE (the number is dependent of the LFO your using), then find it in the browser, from there you can manually automate it... sorry if this post is late
@DjSolfias Yep I know that, but I was wondering if there is any other way to automate it? cus when you set those graphs they arent really that precise as in, the levels dont really tell you what Ratio it is at, like if I want 1:8 i hit 1:16.. Its too much time consuming.. Its ok, thanks though ;)
I press the piano key and it makes the noise i want it to make, but then when i add a note to the piano roll on the note C4 and others it just makes a huuuuuu noise
Figured out one problem. The piano roll in FL Studio has to be in C4 for it to sound the same, leaving it in C0 like this video just makes it sound muddy as hell, and not in a good way.

I am using FL and I made the wobble but when I put it into the piano roll it has no wobble and turns into just one high pitched sound, do you know how to fix this?

@JohnniexMuffins In Massive, on the Global tab. Turn external sync off

how do i get the piano roll to make the wobble?
MrWcer152 9 months ago
@MrWcer152 The wobble come from attaching the lfo to the filter... the piano roll is only used to draw in the notes for the pattern of your bassline.
