millions of people want to go to Butlins, including me even though I live in Australia I go to Butlins at least once a year. Why? Because it's the best holiday in the world!

However I must say this advert does not show ANY of what Butlins really is. All it shows is the new Ocean hotel at Bognor. It's a good advert for the hotel but it gives the impression that is all there is!

Last years ads were a lot better.

This does not show what Butlins is all about. The adverts from 2007 and 2008 were brilliant, but this is a big step backwards I'm afraid.

You're missing the point. It's not about "using the song for the best purpose"... it's about this advert using a song which has been used for both really dodgy websites and "wh0r3s" (I didn't know that's what Flo-Rida's version was for, but there you go) and thus the song has become associated in many people's minds with those things.

In other words... a song which, through previous associations, now has connotations in many minds with gay sex and "wh0r3s" is inappropriate for this advert. Ken?

Or, alternately. You look at the song with fresh eyes like your supposed to, recall "You spin me right around" by Dead or Alive for what it was when it was released instead of taking examples from the internet (gay) and other authors (Flo-Rida) which the original authors cannot control.

I was at Bognor a couple of week ago, and word at the camp is that they want to build yet another hotel, brining the total to 3 on site. I believe Butlins long-term plan is to be hotels only and demolish the chalets..... It will never be the same, how do you self-cater in a hotel.
