  • A 15 year old girl holds hands with her 1 year old son. People call her a slut, no one knows she was raped at 14. People call another guy fat. No one knows he has a serious disease causing him to be over weight. People call an old man ugly. No one knew he had a serious injury to his face while fighting for our country in the war. Repost this if you're against bullying and stereotyping.

    1. All the set of rules are actually not laid by man but by the Holy Bible and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

    2. Religion isn't just some set of rules its a family a community working together to sstrive for Christ mission.

    3. Most importantly we have to remember that if we didn't have have religion then there would be no Christianity. right?

Having a personal relationship is part of it but not all.

  • How do i lean on the lord and trust him??

  • @TrueLyricism - not easy. But after awhile, I realized that nothing in the world satisfies, and God is the only one worthy of putting your full trust in anyway. But, it's still not easy :)

"He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" Romans 8:32

  • @lrdeldric Thankyou

Over the last weekend i've had pray from others and today i've just felt such a powerful love from god. My worries are gone, i feel closer to god than i think i ever have, i feel so loved. God is incredible :D xxx

  • @TrueLyricism Read the Bible, spend some time praying to Him or speak to Christian friends to clarify the Lord's word to you. It's hard really. I think I still find it hard to trust the Lord in some aspects. God bless you and may He help you know him. Hope this was a good advice. ;)

  • @TrueLyricism ask him to give you the strength to do so, and make him a priority in your life. Its like any other friendship, you have to get to know him before you trust him. carry on continuous conversations with him throughout the day and it can things like i belong to you, im depending on you, you will never leave me. those are rferred to as breathe prayers. be honest with god , express you true honest authentic feelings, dont hold back what you really feel, he will know how you actually

  • All we have to do is accept the suicide of Jesus and the transaction is complete. The shopkeeper will forgive our debt if we give him money because he loves and wants money. God will forgive our sin debt if we give him a death, because he loves a good death. Oh, wait, Jesus did not stay dead. So it was not a sacrifice after all.

  • @2xtrbo - Ok, well maybe you should think about what it was like for Jesus when He was beaten and flagellated till chunks of his flesh were ripped out and then how he suffered to death in agony as He hung on the cross, because of YOUR sins, for YOUR everlasting life and salvation... but Jesus didn't sacrifice anything? you are a fool

  • Lord, I have fallen from you. Please show me the way. I need you in my life and I can't do this without you. Amen

  • This video makes me stop and think about what I'm doing every day. It's not about me, it's about Him. It's just that simple. : )

  • today's church (the body) has strayed from what Worship is about. man has tried to make it religion, rather than Christianity.

Religion- a set of rules laid down by man that man is made to follow.

Christianity- a true, breathtaking relationship with Christ. think about it.

  • ever since January of this year i truly feel like im coming back to the heart of worship. i just found god in my life and been joyful since and nothing can take me away from him again :)

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

On the contrary, for anyone who wants to have a Biblical understanding of the Gospel and salvation, I would highly recommend checking out the Bible.

    -

Besides, you are Oneness Pentecostal and thus deny the Trinity and teach that salvation is by works. You yourself don't understand God or the Gospel.

  • @AgApE010

The website that I posted about quotes directly from the Bible. Yes, I am a Oneness Pentecostal. Yes, I reject unbiblical and man-made doctrines and philosophies. No, I do not believe in salvation by works. Salvation is by grace through faith. At the same time, faith without works is dead. A person with genuine faith will feel absolutely compelled to obey the teachings of scripture. To deny that is to deny the very words of Jesus and His apostles.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

You don't reject unbiblical doctrines. You just think what is true doctrine is unbiblical. I know how the Oneness church operates.

    -

You do believe in salvation by works. You believe that a person needs to be baptised in water in order to be saved. The Bible says "by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works" (Eph. 2:8-9). Water baptism is a sacrament, like Communion, FOR Christians; not a ritual TO BECOME a Christian.

  • @AgApE010

I think you're misunderstanding. I'll try my best to clarify. Obedience to God's Word is not a 'work'. Obedience is faith in action. Genuine faith compels people to obedience with regards to things such as baptism. A willingness and desire to be baptized in Jesus' name shows that someone really does believe. Mark 16:16 emphasizes the close relationship of faith to baptism (basically suggesting that if one believes they will be baptized). Consider Matthew 7:21-27 and Luke 6:46-49.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

I agree that one who believes will be baptized as a work (it is, indeed, a work) of obedience to Christ. What the problem is is that the Pentecostal churches teach that you need to be water baptized IN ORDER TO BE SAVED, and such is contrary to Eph 2:8-9, Titus 3:5-7, and the widely-known words of Christ in John 3:16 wherein all these passages state that we are saved by grace through faith (not works). Perhaps you personally don't believe as they do. If not, then praise God.

  • @AgApE010

Baptism is indeed a necessary part of salvation under the New Covenant. You say its indeed a work, but more specifically, its a work of faith. Faith means much more than just a state of mind. Its also a verb. I can see why this might lead you to say that myself and other Oneness Pentecostals believe in 'salvation via baptism', but that's simply false. If we believed that, we would be forced to believe that once someone is baptized they are 'eternally secure'..which we obviously don't.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

You're contradicting yourself: you;re saying that baptism is a necessary part of salvation and then then saying salvation via baptism is false. I understand you believe that baptism is a work of faith, but it is still a work. Notice how you do not answer the numerous Scriptures I cited? Perfect example of man's traditions trumping God's word in your beliefs.

  • @AgApE010

Honestly, there's no contradiction unless you're just looking for one. Saying that baptism is a necessary part of salvation, while at the same time saying that its not salvific by itself is not contradictory in any way whatsoever. As for the scriptures that you posted, why would I 'answer' them? I believe them with all of my heart, and I see no contradiction with what they say and what I've posted. On the other hand, you seem to contradict John 3:5, James 2:24, Revelation 22:12 etc.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

So baptism ISN'T a work of righteousness?

    -

John 3:5 is not speaking of baptism when Jesus says "born of water"; that is reading into His words. James 2 says that if faith does not produce works it is not real faith; he does NOT say works contribute to salvation. Rev. 22:12 is speaking of the reward Jesus gives to believers for their works. He is not talking about salvation. Salvation in the Bible is always referred to as a gift -because it is unearned- never as a reward.

  • @AgApE010

The physical motions of baptism is a work of righteousness. That's not the issue here, though. The faith element of baptism is what I've been stressing.

I would gladly listen to your interpretation of John 3:5. I really don't see any logical alternative to what I've said though. Yes, I know what James 2 teaches, and you seem to have avoided the specific verse in that chapter that I cited. I would imagine its because the verse I cited says that works DO contribute to salvation.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

My goodness, and you were wanting to lead people to Christ while you yourself need leading... James is talking about justification before other believers, not before God. How do I justify myself before other believers and prove I'm saved? By my works. As James said "show me your faith without your works and I will SHOW YOU my faith BY MY WORKS" (James 2:18).

  • @AgApE010

Are you serious? I've never heard anyone interpret that verse that way. Justified before other believers? ROFL.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

You can ROFL all you want. James clearly said "SHOW ME your faith without your works and I will SHOW YOU my faith by MY WORKS." He wasn't talking to God when he said that. Besides, I'm not surprised that you don't hear any solid exegesis of the Bible in the Oneness Pentecostal church. Just because you never heard it doesn't mean it's not true.

  • @AgApE010

I've really never heard of that interpretation before, and I've checked out several of the best known commentaries. You happen to be the first I've ever heard say that 'justify' in that verse means to be justified before others. That just strikes me as odd and an unnatural twisting of the text. James 2:18 doesn't even mention justification, so I don't see how you could think that it somehow sets the context for the subsequent uses of the word justify.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

James 2:18 is taken in the passage as a whole. Follow his flow of thought;it's pretty obvious when we put aside traditions that hinder us from accepting the text for what it says. If you want a more detailed exegesis of that passage, type in "Dr. White James 2:14-26" and see his video. Besides, your interpretation of James 2 contradicts everything Paul said about justification being by faith not works. If your interpretation throws Scripture out of harmony, it's probably wrong.

  • @AgApE010

Back to scripture. I think the crux of our disagreement is this. You seem to be bent on divorcing faith from baptism. On the other hand, I'm contending for Mark 16:16, which views faith and baptism as being so interconnected as to be inseparable (basically, you can't have one without the other). If find it interesting that you think the flow of thought in the chapter supports your view. I see it quite the opposite way.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

I'm not bent on anything. You agreed baptism is a work of righteousness. Paul said works of righteousness don't contribute to salvation. That should be "case closed", but you'd rather hold on to your traditions rather than God's word. Salvation has nothing to do with you; be more humble.

  • @AgApE010

I agreed that the physical motions of baptism are a work of righteousness. The faith element is what I've been stressing over and over, but you seem to ignore this. It seems like you're not even reading. And no, I do not believe I somehow merit salvation by my works. God gave me the faith that produced the works. Its all a result of His grace.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

The bottom line is that if a person doesn't have enough faith to obey the simplest of commandments then they just don't have the faith that it takes to be saved.

  • @DreamsofMajesty I know that i've not been privy 2 this discussion but that statements very untrue. If that were true, God never would've sent Jesus 4 us. He knows that we'll sin again & again & again but He forgives us every time cuz He loves us. I openly admit that i sin all the time but that doesn't mean i don't have enough faith 2 be saved. God sent Jesus cuz He knew that even though we have all the faith in the world, we will still commit the simplest of sins like lying. God bless! :)

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

If faith is all that you've been stressing, why are you arguing from James 2 that works justify us before God? See how ridiculously contradictory you are?

  • @AgApE010

James 2:22. Take it up with God. Don't expect to change His mind though.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

    Straw-man argument. How befitting.

  • @AgApE010

Where exactly is the straw man? Just wondering.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

It is not wise to use Mark 16:9-20 to argue from since its authenticity is highly questionable. Besides, even if you, Jesus then says "He who does not believe" is not saved. He does not say "He who does not believe and is not baptised" is not saved. Thus, even in that passage, salvation is dependent on believing, not baptism. Baptism just naturally follows salvation, it doesn't contribute to it.

  • @AgApE010

Also, I find it strange that you think that my interpretation is at odds with what Paul taught about justification. I find it very easy to reconcile, and as far as I can tell, most commentaries seem to agree with me. Check out what Matthew Henry said about it.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

Matthew Henry is not a good commentator. He does not go into any depth of the text. If you're willing to learn, look into the commentaries by the names mentioned and see if you can refute their views, if you truly think they're wrong.

  • @AgApE010

If that was the case, then the comments James makes about Abraham and Rahab would have to be interpreted the same way. Do you honestly think that James was talking about their justification before other people (whatever that means) instead of what its obviously talking about (their justification before God.)

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

    "whatever that means"

    -

If you don't know what it means, why do you "ROFL"? "He who gives an answer before he hears, It is folly and shame to him." (Prov. 18:13). It means that the person's faith is proved to others by his works, as the verse says in James 2:18 that I posted twice for you now. How does this apply to Abraham and Rahab? As Paul said in Romans 4:23-24, what was written about Abraham was written for our sakes. Now how do we know Abraham was just and the Patriarch?

  • @AgApE010

A straight forward and unbiased reading of the whole chapter makes it rather obvious that the justification that he is talking about is justification before God. Anything else, including this strange 'justification before other believers' doctrine just doesn't make any sense.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

Also, I refuse to do what you've been doing in this discussion. You seem to be unable to discuss scripture without making derogatory comments about me being a Oneness Pentecostal. I don't know what denomination you are, but if I knew I certainly wouldn't lower myself to trash talking about your denomination. That's just childish, and I'd rather keep the discussion on scripture. I'd appreciate it if you use a little common courtesy and civility yourself. Thank you.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

Oh please, it's not trash talking. I just pointed out that Oneness Pentecostalism doesn't pay much attention to Biblical interpretation. That is neither childish nor uncivil; you are just frustrated. For example, how many Oneness Pentecostal Bible scholars do you know of?

  • @AgApE010

Yes, you are trash talking. Making baseless, false, and derogatory remarks about a group of people is indeed childish. If you really do believe that you have the truth and that I am in error, you should have a godly gentleness and love about you that prevents you from such nonsense. Like I said, your denomination is irrelevant to me. I feel no need to bash it, even though I'm sure I could if I followed my flesh and digressed in maturity by about 10 yrs.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

Your frustration is showing by your multiplied accusations. And I did present the Scriptures with gentleness; however, after a person repeatedly rejects those Scriptural truths, firmness is both necessary and Biblical. Read Paul's letter to the Galatians, for instance, or to the Corinthians and see how he spoke to them.

    -

On the contrary, it is your last statement that is childish and insulting.

  • @AgApE010

Nope, no frustration here at all. I'm enjoying the discussion aside from your occasional lapses into immaturity. I'm not talking about the way you presented scriptures. Once again, I'm talking about the needless derogatory comments.

What 'last statement' are you talking about? The fact that Matthew Henry agrees with me? I don't see how that is in any way insulting or childish to say...

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

No, not your last statement about Henry. Read your own comments.

  • @AgApE010

Oh, the fact that I would have to digress in maturity by 10 years to bash your denomination? That's a statement about me personally. If you took offense to it, maybe its because of a guilty conscience on your part. I recall that you are the one who initiated this discussion. And you just happened to initiate it with....surprise, surprise, a derogatory insult. Not exactly a Christian way to greet somebody, lol.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

No, I wasn't insulted; just pointing out your hypocrisy. And continually accusing me of insulting is now just being slanderous as I have thrice explained how I was not being insulting. You're obviously not a person to try to have a level-headed conversation with. Hold to your heresies if you wish. I did what I could, in the service of the Lord, to correct them from Scripture. Please don't reply to anymore of my comments as I have no wish to discuss further. Take care.

  • Comment removed

  • @AgApE010

As for Oneness Pentecostal bible scholars, how exactly would you define that? If you're just talking about someone who has a high degree in theology, then there are too many to count. Off the top of my head, a few of the prominent scholars among us are David K. Bernard (the current general superintendent) and Dr. Seagraves.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

By Bible scholars I mean people like Bruce Metzger, Bruce Waltke, Douglas Moo, James White, Charles Ryrie, to name a few. Not surprisingly, all such scholars, that are leaders in their fields, are Protestant Trinitarians. There are no recognized scholars in Oneness Pentecostalism because its doctrines are erroneous. That's all I said in my other comment when you flew off the handle and started calling me childish and 10 years behind in maturity. Log = in your eye.

  • @AgApE010

That sounds oddly like what evolutionist scientists say about creationist scientists. The whole 'you don't follow our paradigm, so you're not the real deal' thing. That mindset fails.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

No, quite honestly I don't think you do hold to hold to those verses I posted because they stand in direct contradiction of Oneness Pentecostal preaching. Hence your silence concerning them.

  • @AgApE010

Have you ever actually been to a Oneness church? Those verses are common preaching points for us.

  • @AgApE010

Also, there's a huge problem that arises when one defines faith as just being a mental state of belief without any action. By such a narrow definition, even repentance would have to be considered a work rather than an act of faith. Surely you wouldn't say that someone can be saved without repenting of their sins? At least I hope you wouldn't.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

Repentance is a fruit of salvation, not the means by which we attain salvation. See John 15: you are a part of Christ the Vine, a result of which is your bearing fruits. You do not bear fruits in order to become part of the vine. That's backwards. What you're preaching is exactly what Paul wrote AGAINST: "not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved" (Tit. 3:5). Now let one step forth and say that baptism is not a work of righteousness.

  • @AgApE010

Where did you get this idea of repentance being a post-salvation 'fruit'? Its definitely not listed as one of the fruits of the Spirit. Before someone can consistently bear the fruit of the Spirit, repentance must already be there. In Matthew 3:8, Jesus tells the Pharisees to bring forth fruit meet for repentance. Notice, he doesn't call repentance a fruit. He's looking for fruit that is indicative of repentance.

  • @DreamsofMajesty

    -

I say that because turning from sins (how you define 'repentance') is part of our sanctification, not justification (which is always in the Bible said to be through faith not works). Biblically, repentance (metanoio) means "a changing of mind", not "turn from sin." Repentance (changing of mind) results in turning from sin. What I meant by "fruits" in my earlier comment is "results of salvation" of which a turning from sin is the most obvious one.

  • The Heart of the Gospel. No one stated this truth better than the apostle John. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God.and the Word was God, He was in the beginning with God...In Him was life, and the life was the light of men... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

  • My daughter Melissa was given 1 hr to live at Columbia Presbyterian Hosp Bx NY. Both her lungs were destroyed her lungs couldn't stop bleeding. Drs said that not even a lung transplant would save her. I remember how in the supernatural God used Moses to part the red sea.So I prayed God in the supernatural power you gave Moses I ask you to close my daughter's lungs like you did to the red sea.. Drs call it miraculous. I say because I dared to believe I received.Drs encourage me to write a bk.

  • @Godbtheglory1 May the Lord God continue to bless you, Share that blessing with everyone. GOD is LOVE!

  • @pdrake55erik I am presently writing a book, because the Drs told me that this story had to be told. I have never or even thought of writing a book in my life. the thought of it scared me. I was out in the terrace and I said to the Lord. "Lord I don't even know what to call it (title)" and He said to me. The title will be "What appears to be bad is not bad, a picture of her in the ICU and in the bottom because I are to believe, I receive." I just cried after that.
